No black. I think Grey could have been a better choice but hey..., I could always acrylic paint to the existing wood texture. 
 

Its sound image like never heard before here in my setup... my weakness had always been with horns speakers..., the kinda sound signature that is so open and holographic with pinpoint focus/clarity and does not compromise naturalness/organic. 
 

Interestingly, people think magico are clean and sterol sounding...., I dare to put on a bet if you pick that false perception here in my setup!

Looks good to me but I guess you could spray them to match the other panels. Good to hear it is an improvement. Must sound pretty amazing in there!!

Thanks @frednork. I listened to your advice, 9 panels in front wall (behind the speakers). 8 panels went up to the ceiling. Fortunately, sounds amazingly better than it looks. 

If you are ever in this little town, pls drop by for a drink or two.

The Vicoustic DC-2 were so effectively to a point it is ineffectively mitigated me from further purchasing another box in hope of further SQ improvement!! ?

Hoping all is doing well during this unconventional festive season. 

Finally I begin my 2 weeks Christmas break and it was bloody hectic over the last four weeks that is without audio joy. 
Couple people  are still waiting for me to butcher together a couple linear PSUs for their computer audio server requirements. 
 

Over the last couple days, I have been able to do so..., and this power supply for a friend that I have never meet.., yet! ?
 

Currently trailing it.., and it sounds not too bad. Upload a couple short iphone captured videos for your inputs.

A decent linear power supply is an essential component in your audio server. It is even more so critical when comes to powering your audio USB card.... Discerning digital audiophiles will appreciate SQ goodness when having your audio USB card powering by decent audio grade LPSU. Unfortunately,  commercialised audio grade Linear psu units are often out of reach by the majority. They are ridiculously over priced. 

I hope with this mod from an average lpsu, can somewhat bring some smiles to those are unable to justify the silly asking price. May this build bring SQ close to those cost in excess of AU$1500.

Built like a tank.... very well packed and for the cost or SQ performance..., you will happily kick goodbye to your Uptone regen...! 
 

OMG! This made JCat switch at $6,000.00 a real ripped off, and Uptone Regen a little toddler toy! 
 

no need to take my word for it, borrow it and listen for yourself! ?

Looking at the site, and doing conversion from Vietnam's dong to Aus $ , looks to be reasonably priced! ?

Only feasible for local (W.A) atm @evil c. The switch weights over 6.5kg.

I was a skeptic at first...!
Tried Paulpang, heard the Uptone, and listened to JCat moderate switch version....., but this blow away Upton at first 10mins of listening... How can it be?! ?

@Chanh I am not a skeptic. In fact I am believer in good switch with good power supply. I am a believer in cables as well. 
 

I was expecting improvements, but what I experienced was jaw dropping. It brought the quality of sound to a different level.

 

Unfortunately, it meant I have to prioritise my upgrade path now. Not good.

 

to those who are non believer, especially on what a proper quality cat cable can do, I don’t know what to say. I can’t explain the difference other than it’s there!

Received a little box of SQ goodness from @Chanh today.  A 5v power supply to power my Jcat Xe card.  The Jcat does seem to use a fair bit of power and ended up having to use a HDplex output as the uptone lps was crapping out and not able to do the job.

Anyhow, popped it on and...

It is sounding really really good. It is a level or maybe a few levels up from the hdplex. Sounding very relaxed in comparison with much better resolution and much more solid soundstage.  More solid bass.  Some harshness that has been annoying me is gone and I am really enjoying tracks that made me wince a little previously. The textures of cymbals and percussion generally is much more realistic.  Basically everything sounds much better and TBH I am surprised it has made such a big change.

Nothing special... typical average electronics with a dedicated room. Mainly catching up with the local and share the passion/hobby...

 

We can experiment the digital with different ethernet cables or switches..., very popular now... Or simply a relax networking with some tunes...
