Its laminate back and sides with solid spruce top, very sweet , mellow guitar , plays perfectly. I have used it professionally for about 4 years so a bit of wear and tear especially around the end of the headstock but nothing at all damaging. Its an amazing jazz guitar and these Eastmans are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain in Oz - due to the company being very difficult for the distributors to deal with apparently. The guitars themselves are Chinese made, hand built to exacting standards - and I wish I could keep it but as most here know, new gear in , old gear out... I'll ship within Oz at buyers expense with hard case and it will be well packed. The guitar is in very good nick but there are some chips around the headstock (pictured) - which are part of its 'playing history'. The guitar has gigged all over Australia and is 'played in". So I've been trying to learn guitar since I was 10. I love music, and I love guitar especially. When I started, I wanted to be like Paul Stanley from KISS. As I matured, I thought maybe Clapton or Hendrix were the ducks nuts. And these days, I think Ben Harper's skills are sublime. I have tried, failed, and stopped, and restarted serious tuition in guitar, at least 3-4 times over my life. And I've come to a realisation..... I'm not going to be a Stanley, Hendrix, or Harper. And I'm not a lead...I think I'm pretty happy just strumming a few chords and making tunes. I currently have a Rolls Royce teacher who to his absolute credit, has been serious and level headed with me right from Day 1. He says, apply yourself now and you have a shot before you're 60 of playing guitar like a good player. But frankly, that's on his agenda which is to make excellent guitarists in his own mold (at $70 an hour). I'm not that guy - I know myself well enough now to know, I'm not gonna get there. With my busy life, competing hobbies, and 4 kids to entertain, I won't apply myself. Physically, I don't seem to have that dexterity and never have, and frankly, I don't dream about fronting a band anymore like I did when I was just 12. I just wanna' strum along in time and make some easy tunes, that I can pull out when I feel like it, and that won't embarrass me in company. Is anyone like this? Did you try the best and the worst - and eventually settle for something else? Share with me? Could I learn more about what I want and how to play from a video tutor, than wasting this guy's talent at $$ per week?

Larry Carlton - Strikes Twice 1980 Japanese vinyl w/OBI (Warner P-10649W) VG+/VG+ Rick Beato's favourite guitarist! Super nice cover with just the numbering added top right, and on the labels. IF this was a rental library copy, it's been treated as only the Japanese seem capable of doing. There's barely a hairline on it in the heaviest of overhead light. Super nice. Postage at cost anywhere in Australia (so about $8 regular Aus Post for this one)
