Free postage included. It also functions as a superb pre-amp with remote control - balanced input and output. I've got an SMSL SP400 listed. Balanced in and balanced out and remote control. Relay based volume control, so you get much better channel balance than volume potentiometers. Even if you don't use the excellent headphone amplifier, it will function as a great pre.

What do people recommend for damping aluminium tubing?
rand129678 replied to andyr's topic in DIY Audio Projects
His notes: Recommended glue is CT1 - it sticks to PLA well enough and doesn't set too quickly allowing the whole speaker to be screwed together before it begins to dry. This allows any spill over to be wiped away (use an old brush to get inside the air guide etc). Sets with some amout of flexibility. Readily availabe in the UK but not sure about equivalents for other territories. Visit the Forum or Discord server to see what the community recommends for each region. SAFETY NOTES ON PLASTER OF PARIS: If you're stupid with it, it can be dangerous. NEVER put your hands/feet/whatever into plaster of paris EVER. It can suddenly set without warning, creating a lot of heat in the center, so you'll get burned or worse. Because of this never leave a batch of wet plaster of paris in reach of children or pets. Wearing a mask is recommended to not breathe in any dust, and goggles to stop it splashing into your eyes. Stay safe people! -

Further Information: Full technical details here: https://www.smsl-audio.com/portal/product/detail/id/725.html This features a relay based volume control, not a volume potentiometer - so you get excellent channel balance. And remote control for volume too. I purchased this at Addicted To Audio in March 2023 - still heaps of local warranty remaining. Invoice provided. Original box, remote control, power cable included. Also selling the excellent SMLS D-6 DAC which pairs nicely with balanced outputs.

I look at the 5W performance measurements for some newer amps and I have to double check if I'm looking at a DAC measurement -

Possible for you to share the Dirac before and after, squiggly lines ? -
Yep I was going to suggest this method. I spec'ed my own PC in big Fractal Design case, biggest Noctua fan, big PSU, Kingston RAM, Samsung Nvme SSD. I added $200 for Scorptec to build it for me (includes build warranty) and it still came out way cheaper than the pre-built PC's that come in fancy looking cases etc. Local pickup. So any warranty issues, local drop-off.

Hi Jorgen, on Windows I tried the latest MAD but I sometimes get some pops. On macOS, no pops at all with VAD driver. Best SQ for me now is with Linux. Merging now have a good ALSA driver for Linux. So I run HQPlayer on Linux (Ubuntu Desktop 22.04) and it outputs directly to Anubis via ALSA over the network. Of course for measurements I am forced to use MAD for Acourate. Sometimes I get pops during the measurement so I need to re-do until it is clean during the sweeps
