Leica Q3 | Excellent Condition | July 2023 | Accessories Included

For sale is my Leica Q3, purchased brand new in July 2023 from Leica Sydney.

Owning a Leica has always been a personal goal of mine. I saved specifically for this camera and bought it as soon as the Q3 was released. It has been an absolute pleasure to use and the image quality is exactly what you would expect from Leica. Simply stunning.

Why I’m Selling

Quite simply, I own too many cameras and cannot justify keeping them all anymore. Alongside this, I regularly use a Fuji X100VI, which fills a very similar role for me. Between that, a Sony system for video, and a Fuji medium format setup for stills, the Leica does not get the use it deserves. Given the value of the Q3, I also find myself hesitant to travel with it. Financially and practically, it makes more sense to let it go to someone who will use and enjoy it properly.

Condition

• Excellent cosmetic condition, approximately 9.5/10

• Always protected from day one

• Hoya UV filter installed since new

• Screen protector installed

• Leather half case fitted at all times (pictured and included)

• Factory lens hood always fitted

• Minor cosmetic chips on the front of the lens hood from storage in a camera bag only

• Camera body, lens, and screen are extremely clean

Leica does not provide shutter counts. Based on file numbering, I estimate approximately 6,000 images taken. This is not particularly meaningful given the hybrid leaf shutter design used in the Q3.

Included

• Leica Q3 camera

• Original box and packaging

• Genuine Leica battery plus one additional genuine Leica battery

• Two third-party batteries

• USB-C battery charger for third-party batteries

• Genuine Leica charger and cables (largely unused)

• Hoya UV filter

• Leather half case

Most accessories have seen little to no use.

This camera truly is a work of art, both in build quality and the images it produces. I am not skilled enough to fully do it justice, but the results speak for themselves.

Location

• Pickup available in Canberra

• I travel to Sydney regularly and can meet there

• Shipping available at buyer’s cost

• Any insurance required for shipping is the buyer’s responsibility

Price

$9,500 or nearest reasonable offer.

If you are genuinely interested, please message me first. I am happy to share my phone number and discuss further.

I would love to keep this camera, but circumstances change. The next owner will absolutely fall in love with it, just as I did.

The fair market price for a Leica Q3 camera in Australia is approximately AUD $9,700–$9,790, based on current retailer listings and recommended pricing.

## Price Details

New condition: The Leica Q3 is priced at around AUD $9,700–$9,790 according to current market data. This represents the standard retail price for the standard Q3 model.

Q3 variants: Leica also offers the Leica Q3 43 at a higher price point, reflecting its variant focal length option.

Monochrome variant: The specialized Leica Q3 Monochrom commands a premium at AUD $12,090 (recommended retail price), significantly higher than the color Q3 due to its dedicated black-and-white sensor and 60-megapixel capability.

## Key Pricing Factors

Several factors influence the Q3's market value:

- Model variant: The standard Q3, Q3 43, and Q3 Monochrom have distinct price points, with the Monochrom being the most expensive
- Sensor specifications: The 60MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor and 8K video capability justify the premium positioning
- Fixed lens quality: The Leica Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens is integrated, eliminating interchangeable lens costs but limiting flexibility
- Condition: Pricing data reflects new units; used or refurbished models would command lower prices, though specific secondary market data is not available in current listings
- Market positioning: The Q3 sits in Leica's compact, fixed-lens category—more affordable than the interchangeable-lens M11 Monochrom (AUD $14,990) but significantly more expensive than competing monochrome compacts like the Ricoh GR IV Monochrome (AUD $2,999)

Conservative estimate: For a new Leica Q3, expect to pay AUD $9,700–$9,790 as a fair market price in Australia.
