Developed by cinema design studio Kolosseum, SPARK is a premium proposal tool designed to help audio-visual integrators present more immersive, technically informed cinema concepts. The platform combines photorealistic 3D room renders, fully navigable 360-degree virtual room tours and detailed performance documentation aligned with global CEDIA, Dolby and THX guidelines.

For many clients, visualising how a cinema will look and perform has traditionally been one of the biggest hurdles at the proposal stage. SPARK aims to address that challenge by allowing integrators to present a complete picture of the room before any build work begins, including seating layouts, acoustic treatments and speaker placement, supported by engineering-led performance reports that clearly outline the design intent.

The platform has been structured to support cinemas of all sizes, with four performance tiers accommodating everything from media rooms through to large, multi-row flagship theatres targeting reference-grade playback. This tiered approach allows integrators and clients to select a design pathway that aligns with the room, budget and performance expectations, while maintaining a consistent level of documentation and visual polish.

From an integrator’s perspective, SPARK is positioned as a way to streamline the proposal process without diluting expertise. By reducing the internal time required to produce conceptual plans and presentation assets, the platform allows dealers to focus more of their energy on client consultation and system optimisation, while still delivering professional, visually engaging proposals.

Krix National Sales Manager Gerrit Ryan said the tool would help elevate both the proposal experience and the final outcome for clients:

SPARK is a powerful and professional tool that can help our dealers optimise their home cinema designs and help customers visualise their finished room right from the proposal stage.

Kolosseum founder Paul McLean added that the platform was designed to support integrators rather than replace them. He explained that SPARK was built to help dealers present cinema proposals more efficiently, combining premium visuals with performance-led documentation to give both clients and integrators a clear understanding of the room’s design objectives.

SPARK is now available through participating Krix-authorised integrators across Australia, with discussions under way regarding international expansion. Home cinema enthusiasts interested in SPARK-supported designs are encouraged to contact their local Krix dealer to learn more about how the platform can enhance their next cinema project.
