Krix launches Evara Hi-Fi range — trusted performance, fresh new look

Krix has reimagined two of its most popular Hi-Fi models with the launch of the new Evara range — bringing trusted performance and fresh, contemporary styling to everyday living spaces.

Australian loudspeaker manufacturer Krix has revealed its new Evara Range, a design-led evolution of two of its most successful Hi-Fi models that’s aimed squarely at modern homes, apartments, and shared living spaces. Launching with the Equinox Evara bookshelf speaker and Seismix 1 Evara subwoofer, the new line blends the brand’s trusted acoustic engineering with a distinctly contemporary aesthetic and compact footprint.

Amanda Zimmermann, Marketing Manager at Krix, told StereoNET the idea was to make the company’s signature sound more accessible:

We’ve kept the acoustic performance our customers trust but introduced a fresh design that fits beautifully into apartments, shared living spaces and modern homes.

Krix says the new look was born directly from market research across both local and international markets.

As Zimmermann elaborated:

We wanted to offer something that would resonate with a broader global audience, particularly customers overseas living in smaller homes, apartments, and more contemporary spaces where design plays as much of a role as performance.

She added that this design direction also reflects lifestyle shifts closer to home. “Many people are living at home or renting with friends for longer than in the past, so we wanted a solution that delivers fantastic sound in a smaller form factor with a more modern look.”

Before finalising the release, Krix tested the new aesthetic in Australia — including at the StereoNET Hi-Fi Show — to refine the finishes and colours. “The addition of magnetic grilles came directly from customer feedback,” Zimmermann noted. She sees the Evara range as more than a facelift. “Evara is an opportunity to introduce Krix to a new generation of listeners — people who appreciate great sound and design equally and who might be discovering Hi-Fi and Krix for the first time.”

While the core engineering and voicing remain unchanged, the Evara series refreshes everything on the outside. Buyers can choose from five new finishes — Studio White, Studio Black, Studio Navy, Studio Green, and Studio Charcoal — each featuring magnetic grilles for a seamless look. Studio White ships with a mid-grey grille, while all other finishes pair with Charcoal. The result is a more design-conscious presentation that allows these compact speakers and subwoofers to blend effortlessly into contemporary interiors.

Krix describes the Equinox Evara as delivering “full, engaging sound while being considerate of shared environments.” Measuring under 30 centimetres tall, it fits neatly on shelves, desks, or close to walls — ideal for apartments or smaller media spaces. A quoted sensitivity of 88 dB at 2.83 V/1 m means it remains easy to drive from modestly powered amplifiers or integrated streaming systems. The magnetic grilles protect the drivers, a practical touch for homes with pets or children, while maintaining a refined, furniture-grade finish.

When paired with the Seismix 1 Evara subwoofer, the system extends its reach with smooth, articulate bass that’s designed to complement rather than dominate the room. Together, they create a compact yet full-range system capable of handling vinyl sessions, streaming playlists, or late-night films without upsetting flatmates or neighbours.

Beyond acoustic performance, Krix has also given careful consideration to lifestyle integration. The Evara range is pitched at apartments, rentals, and townhouses, as well as desks, gaming setups, and home offices — essentially any environment where sound quality matters but space and aesthetics can’t be ignored. It’s an example of how a traditional loudspeaker manufacturer can remain relevant in a world where many listeners now live with shared walls and minimalist décor.

To celebrate the launch, Krix is offering double Krix Rewards points for any Evara product purchased and registered online at krix.com during November and December 2025. The incentive applies to both the Equinox Evara and Seismix 1 Evara models.

Importantly, the introduction of Evara doesn’t replace existing models. The original Equinox — available in Black Woodgrain, Blackwood, and Atlantic Jarrah — and the Seismix 1 in Black Woodgrain will continue in production as part of Krix’s standard Hi-Fi lineup. Evara offers a design-led alternative for those seeking the same sound, wrapped in a more contemporary form.

Available from the 7th of November 2025, the Evara range debuts first in Australia before rolling out through Krix’s international distributors.

The Equinox Evara Bookshelf Speakers will retail in Australia for A$1,345 per pair, while the Seismix 1 Evara Subwoofer is priced at the same A$1,345 with additional regional pricing to be confirmed shortly.
