JBL Synthesis SDP-55 ISE 2020

Firstly, ISE 2020 will enjoy a demonstration of the new line of JBL Synthesis electronics including the SDR-35 Immersive Surround Sound AV Receiver, SDP-55 Immersive Surround Sound Processor (pictured above), and JBL Synthesis SDA-2200 and SDA-7120 Class G Amplifiers with Dante - an uncompressed, multi-channel digital media networking technology, with near-zero latency and synchronisation, according to the brand.

The SDR-35 and SDP-55 are both have a range of connectivity options including over Ethernet or Wi-Fi with Google Chromecast built-in and Apple AirPlay 2. Additionally, they offer playback from network media servers, or a USB flash drive as well as high-resolution audio being sourced from a smart TV via eArc. There's also aptX HD Bluetooth support as well as DAB/FM for terrestrial radio. Lastly, the SDP35 and SDP-55 sport Roon Readiness.

The SDR-35 AVR, SDA-2200 and SDA-7120 rock Class G amplification meaning that the first power supply runs in pure Class A, which has no crossover distortion. However, when a dynamic signal is received that goes beyond the capability of this first power supply, the secondary supply is gradually incorporated up to full rated power output as required.

JBL Conceal series loudspeakers

JBL Synthesis Conceal - ISE 2020

The new JBL Conceal Series loudspeakers come with the patented Stealth Acoustics invisible loudspeaker innovations. The Stealth patented transducers sit in a rigid compression-moulded baffle that is skinned with seventh-generation Fidelity Glass acoustic panels. Additionally, the Conceal line features JBL premium acoustic crossover networks and spring-loaded connections, as well as an integrated back box enclosure. The design results in a loudspeaker that installs like a drywall patch. The surface can be then painted to match the wall, or custom finished for blending into any creative decor.
