As its name suggests, Bang & Olufsen's new Beoplay Portal PC PS is fully compatible with PC and PlayStation consoles, alongside mobile device gaming. This marks a substantial expansion in connectivity across world-leading platforms compared with its original iteration.

While you are, of course, able to use the Beoplay Portal PC PS headphones for music on the go, the addition of increased connectivity, a new wireless dongle, and improved battery life of up to 42 hours ensures that Portal makes for an attractive proposition for gamers too.
Tuned by Bang & Olufsen's acclaimed acousticians, the custom-designed 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets have a stated 20 - 22,000 Hz frequency range while Dolby Atmos for Headphones offers virtualised surround sound.

The Beoplay Portal PC PS also sports a new generation of Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation technology that uses a combination of feed-forward ANC and feed-back ANC. The addition of Own Voice enables you to hear your own voice while cancelling out external sounds.
Whether gaming on PlayStation, PC or mobile, the new edition of Beoplay Portal's array of beamforming microphones isolates your voice while cancelling out background noise – creating a Virtual Boom Arm experience, as B&O puts it.

Meanwhile, wireless 2.4GHz connectivity for PC and PlayStation expands its capabilities with dual-audio streaming – whether gaming, listening to music, or on calls. In addition, the new wireless dongle allows for faster connection across PC, PlayStation or any other USB-C input device. The Beoplay Portal also has mobile gaming covered, thanks to Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX Adaptive technology for on-the-go gaming.
Additionally, this edition of Beoplay Portal benefits from a significant increase in battery stamina, providing up to 42 hours of continuous playtime using Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancellation (+18 hours), or 19 hours of wireless playtime with Active Noise Cancellation (+7 hours).

Finally, long-term comfort shouldn't be an issue, thanks to the headset weighing a mere 279 grams combined with jaw-supporting earpads crafted from lambskin-wrapped memory foam. Furthermore, the inner headband features offset padding designed to relieve pressure on the top of the head. Also, this is covered with a high-quality bamboo fibre textile chosen for its durability and breathability.
Beoplay Portal PC PS is available in Black Anthracite, Grey Mist and Navy for £449/ €499.
