Hi. Yes sound very different.

Magico driven by Accuphase Pre amp and P6100 Power amp.

Tannoy driven by Line Magnetic 805 integrated.

Both have Eq applied.

For sure!

The presentation of the Harbeths was similar to the Magicos, but without the awesome bass extension and control. 
The Cheviots are very different. I was looking for a contrast with the Magicos, and these have delivered.

Time to enjoy the tweaking.

PS. Still waiting for the Cossor replicas to go in the LM 805

International post right now.....even domestic really. Do you have the red base in yet?

I tried the RCA red base, but couldn’t tell the difference between that, and a new Tungsol, so I went with the Tungsol.

I have some vintage Sylvania 6SN7 on the way, to try instead of the stock Electroharmonix.

The Cossors are to swap in for the stock 300B and 805.

Subs have left the room.

Accuphase pre power now driving the Cheviots.

PrimaLuna Evo400 monoblocks driving the Magicos. Tried the KT150s in the PL, but really didn't like them. Felt the EL34 sounded much better.

Re-eq'd both speakers.
