I'm off it again. Had a few since my 50th, but I have flicked the switch so nothing for a while. Now I can concentrate on my upcoming races!

Sunday night weigh in, wasn't too worried if I had put weight on, have had more than the six pack this weekend, maybe 8- beers.

94 kg. Really happy. 5kg weight loss so far.

Easter coming up! :P

Well done Daz.

Well, I'm back. Currently feeling like I've had seven shades of sh!t whacked out of me. Very slow moving. My wife thinks they sent me home a day early so that they could all disappear for Easter as I was the last one on the ward. I do have to say that it is much nicer to be in your own bed though.

Post surgical nausea has happily not got to me. Another patient who had the same operation spent most of her time trying to be sick for the first couple of days. They sent her home early too.

Just had one of those drinking yoghurts. Yesterday I had 100ml of Sustagen. In between I'm sipping water for hydration. I know it will get better. Updates as appropriate.

G'day Jukky

My best wishes to you for a speedy recovery. I hope your pain management if good, and you are not in too much discomfort.

Well done you for getting it behind you.

Just feeling out of sorts which is not surprising really, Andrew. Not much need for pain management thankfully, only liquid panadol a couple of times a day. I have taken an endone but that was for its binding effect more than anything else. Have spent the day sitting in front of the system drifting in and out of sleep. I haven't the clarity of mind to read or watch tv at present so am floating along with the music and looking at SNA now and again.

JukKluk2

Get well soon. Listening to music is good therapy too.

Thanks for the update Kluckster, good to hear you are home and taking it easy. You have been through a serious procedure! Sounds like you have come out of it quite well.

I seem to be spending an awful lot of time staring blankly between limited bouts of movement. I really feel like a great big cold drink of diet iced peach tea but can only sip sparingly. I think that two weeks off is not really going to be enough at this point but I will delay a decision on that until Tuesday. Perhaps by then I may be a bit more with it.

How is everyone's Easter going? I hope that you are all having fun, fun, fun.

Your body would be in a bit of shock mate, one assumes. Give yourself permission to sit and stare and heal. :)

Easter is nice, spending lots of time with my partner and drinking too much grog, Sunday weigh in will not be good this week, haha.

Back to the 6 pack next weekend!!

Get well soon @@JukKluk2 best wishes.

Still abstaining here the odd social single drink (works like a charm at live performances), keep working Darren, happy to hear you are enjoying Easter break. Stuck doing the books here, truthfully actually need to jump off the SNA and get on with it.

Regards

Matt

Thanks Matt, I hope that you are having better weather than Sydney where it is a dismal drizzle. Though, if you are doing the books it might be best if there is nothing to enjoy outside. Enjoy it whatever way.

G'day JKKK2, overcast and about 12/15 degrees today, inside is quite Ok today. No wind so there are plenty of jet skis and pleasure boats in the bay (can see from the lounge), will cop some rain later. Our Winter starts with the end of day light savings time, like a big switch on the weather. Not a fan of DLSTime.

Regards

Matt

Oi, just started to rain, mad dash to get the clothes in off the outside clothes line. :)

Cheers

Matt

Last night marked the return of the return of my appetite, a minor step forward but significant. I can now also tolerate liquid intake in more than sip sizes thankfully. When you are thirsty it takes forever to get to a point where you are not when you are barely wetting your tongue. Overall alertness and and physical stamina improving too. Supposedly I'm back at work next Monday but I think that may not be happening.

Must be the quietest Easter I have ever had.

Keep up the recovery and no to work for a couple of weeks me thinks. You need to rest, and recover, not work.

@@125dBmonster - Burnie sounds lovely. I'm with you - DLST I can live without...I prefer the early mornings.

I have noticed in the last couple of days that to keep my eyes active whilst listening to music that I have started to watch the cooking shows on SBS. What sort of dill (pun intended) does that make me?

Another sign of improvement today is flatus. The downside is that I now have to play the, "is it or isn't it?, game.

So far I've guessed correctly.

Easter Monday weigh in after a long weekend of the bad old habits returning and am duly rewarded with 95kg.

Normal service now to resume.

Nothing wrong with cooking shows on SBS....you just rest, relax and enjoy the calm.

easter would be a tough time to show restraint in any manner I think. tough time for me anyways with food and drink. with family do's all that chocolate etc.

yep definitely case of return to normal programming starting tomorrow :)

I always employ an Easter amnestous policy - I am a kg heavier this morning, but will soon drop that off. I agree  @ :) al - it's always difficult to moderate over Easter.

Enjoyed the easter amesty

Well having said all that ! not sure about return to normal programming... Just shared hot cakes and bacon and egg muffin with my daughter at maccas...also being school holidays can't leave kids and head off on a jog ! Will do some floor exercises instead been a while since done any of those. No reason for alcohol for the rest of the week and will try stay off it this coming weekend to

And yes a kg higher today too... Compared to pre easter. That's regardless of jogging every day for the last 5 days

Nothing wrong with bacon.
