Yes but some scienmtist in New Zealnad went to far last week. They where defrosting a giant squid caught last year in a fishermens net - the best specimen ever found - and when they started disecting it they deceided to try a bit to see how it tasted!!!! Apparently pretty good? I think they may have been the only people on earth to ever have had giant squid - most are only found washed up and rotting on the shore.

Next time you are in Melbourne post/PM and we will organise a few dozen there +Thai Chilli Beef +Green curry chicken..+.????. Joz also lives nearby and is partial to a little duck. That would be atleast 3 of us. I am sure we could drum up more.

Yes we did debone it ourself but some buthers will do it for you. I do find doing it ourself is better and you loses less meat. There is little meat on ducks anyway, not losing anymore than we have to.

I believe the webber slow hot smoking is the best way to cook a duck. Use hickory wood chips to generate the smoke as hickory give it a milder smoke flavour.

They have many wondeful dishes, but we decided to dispense with the usual favourites and go for the duck alone. Yes served in courses: first 1½ doz then 1 doz. :confused:

Yes I have heard there is a must go Peking Duck place somewhere around Collingwoood and was pestering a friend who knew where for us to visit it. Now we know the name (thanks Diesel)- next meeting in Collingwood!
