Focal Clear OG vs MG thoughts

I’ve recently upped my desktop DAC game from a lovely JDS Labs Element to a Burson Conductor 3. 
 

I’m also looking to change from my closed back B&W P7 to some open back phones. 
 

I shortlisted Sennheiser HD800s of course as I’ve been a long time fan of the brand. 
 

Also in contention however is Focal’s Clear as I’m feeling adventurous and open to a different flavour. I learned there’s the first version, the OG with Al/Mg driver cones and the new, the MG with the Magnesium cone. 
 

Of course, many claim the new version is better but some still swear by the OG version. 
 

I may well be buying from those available used so may not have an opportunity to audition before committing. 
 

As such, I’d welcome any comments from the SNA head-fi community on these two models.
