Sennheiser Momentum 4: good all rounder

Featured Replies

Probably too low brow for many headphone users here, but the Momentum 4 are decent for travelling on public transport.  Was previously using my ancient Bose QC2 (from my business travelling days on economy!).

Big pluses are wireless convenience, gestures to control things and the ability to set amount of noise cancelling (transparency).  They sound better than the QC2 and close with noise cancelling. They do get sweaty on hot days (as expected) but generally are comfortable.

For less than $300 on sale, they are a good all rounder.

Thanks for the review.

For about the same price I picked up some Technics AZ100's (earbuds) for the gym.  I don't do public transport, so... 🤷‍♂️

Everyone in the gym has headphones with headbands.  As you mentioned they get hot and sweaty anyway, so in the gym?  No thanks, just earbuds for me.  Anyway, at $349 the Technics sound and perform brilliantly.  I'm super impressed.

Those Bose QC2 aren't bad travel cans, so if the Sennie Momentum 4's are better than that's a win.

Agree that these headphoneares are not for the gym.

Also, I cannot wear ear buds for long.  They get uncomfortable on my sensitive ears.

As an affordable alternative, I picked up a pair of Sennheiser Accentum wireless 'phones at the recent Black Friday sales.

Good sound, comfy wear and 50 hour (claimed) battery life, even whilst using Noise Cancelling !!!

The Accentum is good value!

I would however miss the gesture controls on the Momentum. Intially, I thought they were a gimmick but now like the convenience...

I picked up a set of Momentum 4 headphones during the Black Friday sales as well.

Great value.

What? That’s huge, you’d hardly need to charge them.
