Where's the Cheese ? Vale PETER RUSSELL-CLARKE (September 19, 1935 – July 4, 2025)

"Peter Russell-Clarke, the neckerchief-clad larrikin who became an unexpected fixture in Australian lounge rooms and taught a generation how to cook long before MasterChef, has died aged 89."

lovely and very informative obituary from Rob Harris at the age....

Where the cheese was: The real story behind Australia’s foul-mouthed polymath

To reduce him to a catchcry, even one as immortal as “Where’s the cheese?“, would be like calling Michelangelo a ceiling painter. PETER RUSSELL-CLARKE (September 19, 1935 – July 4, 2025) By Rob Harris, JULY 6, 2025

I myself remember Peter Russell Clarke, from my school days as a kid coming home and afternoon TV would come on we are talking mid 80s... 90s...

its amazing he did some 900 ! episodes... and short they were .. 5min ! "Come and Get It" on the ABC. usually before Goodies or something 🙂

fond memories and i am sure a lot of my love for food and longings for cooking has been developed from watching countless of these !

What an amazing full life the man seems to have lived ! wow ! amazing ...

ps just one of his 5 min episodes ... seems someone has found on a VHS tape and uploaded on youtube... which is being flooded with tributes i see with all manner of clips from TV history.. and even the bloopers clips are there too :D
