HIFI Show 2023 Philippines November 11 -12

The annual Manila show has just finished.

  Great time had, so thanks goes out to Tony Boyvand co for putting on a great event. It was more crowded than last year, so some rooms were hard to get into.

   The head fi section was extremely crowded all the time.

 

 Following are a few photos, but certainly not enough. 

 

 Only one more hangova before we fly home..

This was the first showing of the CH Precision P10 phono along with the matching 10 series pre and power amps.

  AF3 with Graham arm and rare Koetsu Jasper cart.

  Overall powerful and smooth sound with maybe not quite the "air" a few other rooms had

First time I have seen the 750k Wilson Chronosonic XVX being poweree by Gryphon Apex electronics and DCS digital.

  The sound was effortless with a very large soundstage and plenty of air.  Very impressed.

The Fyne audio speakers sounded delicious. 

Easily the best I have heard the PS audio speakers.

New Deqx processor with some locally made singled ended amps and beautiful horn speakers made by local legend Joey -  great sound.

Never heard the PS Audio speakers but that room looks much much too small...

The room was small, as were most of the rooms.  The PS speakers sounded great thou  - previously to me they sounded a bit tizzy on top  -  nicely balanced this time. Not using their digital amps probably helped.

Last Horn setup looks interesting. Was that the  one which used DEQX ?

Hi Eamon.  We missed you this year!!

 

Yes.  That was Joey's own Horn build with DIY tube amps- a one off  - don't even think it was for sale.
