Love it. All the cultural reference points and characters. Post war old timers to swinging sixties. Everything is period correct. Something the poms do very well. Watch it whenever it pops up on my FTA. Boss goes around threatening the villains and then says "mind how go" when leaving. Love it. The end of series gets very noir and Hitchcock! 1
cazzesman Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 Watched the 1st Episode of 1883 last night. Not bad. Sam Elliot just leaps from the screen in every scene he is in. What a face he has. Loved him in Justified. Tim McGraw holding his own against good company. Isabel May looks like real talent. Between; Mayor of Kingstown, Yellowstone and 1883, Taylor Sheridan Actor, Writer, Producer, Director) has my undivided attention. And his other new show 6666, which is a Yellowstone spin off, is out in 2022. Busy guy. Regards Cazzesman
Esoterica Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Anyone watching The North Water on Binge? I watched the first part (it's a mini seies) last night and enjoyed it a lot. It is set in the late 19th century and revolves around a whaling boat. Colin Farrell plays one of the whalers and is delightfully horrible. He's gruff, laconic and mean and I can't look away. There are some fairly brutal scenes of seal hunting which (as an animal lover) were hard to watch, but they don't show the most distressing parts which was appreciated. Still, there are some unsettling images. Besides that part of it, it has an interesting plot and best of all, is set in a gritty and hard time and place. That is, northern UK and the Arctic circa 1880.

cazzesman Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 I do love Yellowstone but this season 4 has dragged a tad. Sheridan is spending so much time pumping up his other shows within Yellowstone that he has lost the thread. Eps 8 ran about 70% after all the cross promotion was put in to fill out the running time. I was waiting to see Jeremy Renner from 'Mayor of Kingstown', Sheridan's other show, make a Cameo. Still Beth getting her kit off is always worth the price of admission. Regards Cazzesman 1
Cloth Ears Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I love flipping around FTA and finding anything with Anthony Bourdain in it. No Reservations is any easier to digest option, but Parts Unknown has to be one of the best series ever filmed. 1
cazzesman Posted December 30, 2021 Author Posted December 30, 2021 New Letterkenny back on. They’ve still got it. Regards Cazzesman

cazzesman Posted January 26, 2022 Author Posted January 26, 2022 Canadian Cop drama on 7+. 19-2. If you like your shows realistic then this is for you. I just watched S2 Eps 1 called School. Truly stunning TV. Regards Cazzesman
audiofeline Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I'm looking forward to the new series of Killing Eve that is expected to be broadcast shortly. 2
Godot Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Finally got around to watching season 7 of Bosch, waited until it was available on Prime here. It has been a great character driven show, although I thought this season had less pure adrenaline action crime activity and suspense. The depth of main characters and their own stories still kept it moving along with engaging drama. I did buy the original soundtrack when it was first released. Excellent series. Yep, Killing Eve continues it’s mix of brutal horror and humour. Tempting to binge but I am okay with one episode at a time, otherwise I have nightmares. I have to watch an old episode of Would I Lie To You (preferably with Bob Mortimer) to recover before I can go to bed. 1 1

Haven’t tried 1883 yet but probably will. 6666 should feature that kid from Yellowstone. Sheridan apparently bought the 6666 ranch with some partners and now he can use it to film the new series. Amazing. And boy, can he ride! 1
SGS Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Really enjoyed Bosch as well. Great acting well produced. Going to throw The Expanse into the mix as well. 1
cazzesman Posted May 14, 2022 Author Posted May 14, 2022 For fans of Letterkenny the spin off ‘Shoresy’ has just started. The ‘chirping’ is as profound as ever. Regards Cazzesman
cazzesman Posted June 4, 2022 Author Posted June 4, 2022 Shoresy is a ripper for LK fans. Absolutely loving The Offer. The Offer: Everything We Know About The Godfather Show (screenrant.com) Funny that on Rotten Tomatoes the Critics are giving it 50% but the fans are giving it 95%. Trust me it is truly glorious TV. Barry goes from strength to strength. Inside #9 season 7 is solid. Enjoy. Regards Cazzesman 1
keyse1 Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Just saw The Godfather part 1 and 2 at the cinema Still the best film I’ve ever seen Try Gaslit on Stan. About Watergate like politics today horrifying and hilarious Often at the same time Julia Roberts is a much better actor than her reputation for lite weight movies suggests 2
Godot Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Just finished season 1 of “Hanna” on Prime. I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. Great plot, lots of action, despicable government conspiracies and an excellent focus on the music. Noah Taylor shows up as a shady scientist, how unusual!
cazzesman Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 I have been watching - The Terminal List. The Terminal List (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb Now I can suspend disbelief with the best but even Eps 6 had me saying - 'It's jumped the Shark'. Jumped the shark - Idioms by The Free Dictionary They writers decided to go all Rambo - First Blood and had hero Chris Pratt on the run over the mountains. I love OTT stuff at times but this just became a joke. 2 Eps to go, so I will hang in until the end, but very disappointed with Eps 6. Regards Cazzesman
cazzesman Posted August 12, 2022 Author Posted August 12, 2022 Current high rotation The Undeclared War The Ipcress File - (2022 remake of sorts) The Old Man Regards Cazzesman
