Cocktail hour

Featured Replies

Jamie Oliver and some other dude were on the idiot box last night making stuff and there was a cocktail book involved. Just saying. Might be worth a Google,.

Yeah - saw that, trying to recreate a ye olde British brew of Beer, Brandy, eggs etc.

Sounded like a good cold clime cocktail but probably not my "cup of tea"

Martinez

In the 1880s, Old Tom gin, a style with quite a bit more sweetness than London dry, was just beginning to gain popularity in America. This is the drink that put it over the top.

Can't beat my standard recipe for a good Margarita:

60ml good Tequila

45ml triple sec (or Cointreau)

45-60ml fresh lime juice

Shake w/ ice, serve in a salt-rimmed martini glass

Yes, that's 3.5 shots :)

sounds like ideal candidate to add to that lime juice :D

Was about to launch into my favourite but then realised this thread wasn't about cock tales. Anyhow, he's back with the hens now.
