I am thinking of putting up pics of my gear (in it's current state) if anyone is interested.

Speakers are 2.1, Mike Lenehan's LK1 with a TL sub.

Amplification is Nelson Pass designed Korg B1 and ACA.

Digi side is Ares II, SBT/Tablet/Vincent CD-S4.

Analogue is Rock II/Moth RB250/Nagaoka MP11 with MP110 stylus through DIY Akitika MM phono.

I'd say 1.5 metres in from side walls, maybe a little more.

Very impressed with the way the pre and power integrate so well.

Enjoyed the pics. the cheeky little sub is great - potential to make a nice matching set when you decide on a finish for the speakers :)

I concur with @CaponeSteve. This is a very enjoyable system to listen to. The LK 1's image superbly and are very involving. I was particularly impressed by their off-axis capabilities. And that Rock turntable provides such stability  yet finely etched detail to vinyl reproduction. It's an aural treat! I'd go the whole hog Steve and paint 'em gloss white😎.

Cheers, Leon

The TT on the left is an aging LP12 fitted with a Hadcock GH228 unipivot and V15 type III.

Not in use atm as I have obviously wired up the ground wire incorrectly which is evident by the amount of hum.

I need a local Linn expert to help out

I am seriously thinking of trying the V15 on the Rock, I have had both for more than a few years but I have never tried them together.

I’ve just put a v15iii on the technics SP10mk2, with Jico MR stylus. What a discovery. Absolutely no turning back. Quite a bit better than MP20 (which itself is good). You really could put it on the rock.

What is the MR jico ?

Hi Grumps, I guess he means it has a Jico micro ridge profile replacement stylus in the Shure V15 III. I wasn’t aware they made a MR profile stylus for the Type III though.

Cheers,

Keith
