The longer the better Duc! I've been collecting bits for a 20" unipivot. Including a concrete arm pod. So we'll see what I come up with as I go. The plinth is a temporary thing while I build a slate one.

I was smiling as I wrote that. Bloody Internet and the no emotion thing. Bit like a news reader with Botox.

You have inspired me to get on with my Luxman TT

Which Luxman? They are a thing of beauty with all that aluminium!

Low end TT - PD264.

Epos gave it to me, I so want to bring this DDTT back to life.

The armboard is a Townsend Rega 3 point that I had, but it needs work too.

The Luxmans look beautiful. Is there anything major wrong with it? I hope we get to see some photos along the way!

Nothing wrong with it funcionally, apart from having no arm.

The base is warped, replacing that with 6mm MDF. I think I could make up an armboard for any 9" tonearm

I have taken a few photos

Even better if there are no electrical problems! They are an interesting beast. I think it's the thick platter that does it for me.

Need to decide on one to buy first! Any ideas?

So many options for these. I have an Analogue Instruments Apparition 12 that I like with my Garrard 401.

Great work Linc. Happy to see it up and going finally. You must be grinning from ear to ear. Time to get that arm now. And nice weight ;-)

Thanks mate. My wife described it as a 1000w **** eating grin. She doesn't swear normally. So a bit of a giggle for me. Bit like hearing your mum swear!

The weight is huge! A good weight though. Thank you very much once again for your handy work!
