I've just moved back to Singapore from Hong Kong for work. I brought back my gear that I have amassed in HK although some are bought here. So decided to do a home theater setup in my living room in a 4 room HDB that I bought before moving to HK. Went the whole hog and it turned out pretty sweet. I have an understanding wife which is highly important. Hence without further ado the gear list as below:

 

Home theater 7.1 system

Projector: Sony VPL-VW-260ES, native 4k

Screen Custom 82 'Crystal White' inch drop down projector from Cyrus, gain 1.1

TV: LG OLED 55EG9100 wall mounted

Preamp/Proc: Nuprime HD-AVP

Power amp: Nu prime MCH-K38

Source: Pioneer LX500 & Sony X700 blu ray, StarHub box.

Speakers 5 Sonus Faber Liuto Smart (LCR and Rear), wall mounted

Speakers RBH VA 815 ( height or surround backs) in ceiling speakers

Subwoofers: REL S5

Cooling : AC Infinity Aircon T10

 

Hifi

Source: Lumin U1 Mini & Denafrips Terminator DAC

AMP: Vitus RI100 Integrated amp

Speakers: Legacy Signature SE in Black Pearl & AAD 7001 Reference Monitor

Subwoofer: REL G2

 

Power : Dedicated power line drawn from mains, out to 3 MSHD Powerplug Cryo treated.  Z Power Bar (all source & HT) , Shunyata Venom Amp 1 (Vitus), PS audio Duet (REL subwoofers)

Sound treatments: Vicoustic

Cables: Mix of Zu, MIT, Nordost, Shunyata etc.

Rack: Solid steel S4.3.

Bro your tv so high, hope your pj screen is much lower or you get sore neck...mid screen ideally at eye level or not much higher

Yeah the TV screen is a bit high, unfortunately that's due to the center speaker and the equipment rack positioning we got used to it and adopt a slack seating position on the couch. Lol..

Well sitting from a distance slant view is ok no issue. :) Just enjoy most important bro :)

That's the drop down screen. From the photo angle does look like Aircon. Lol..

Welcome back, you have a really nice cosy place for HT.  There quite a few bro staying around punggol and I am just your neighbor at Sengkang. Can always catchup and have a listen to the setup. :)

Sure will do, once it's fully setup I'll do an open house/sharing session.

Am planning some upgrades shortly to tie in all the equipments:

1. New pre-pro to replace my nu-prime HD-AVP. Likely it's the Acurus Muse

2. Matching center channel speaker: Legacy Silverscreen HD

3. Either a mono power amp for center channel or a 3 channel power amp.

Well just confirmed on the upgrades/changes, although it may take time for the stuff to come:

1. Acurus Muse to replace the nu prime hd avp

2. Legacy Silhouette Center Speaker to replace current SOnus Faber Smart Center.

3. Mcintosh MC207 this is unexpected actually getting it in trade for turntable gear that am letting go. Still TBC but if go ahead this will replace the nuprime mch k38.

 

Exciting times ahead!

 

McIntosh 207 arrives! Loving it, very quiet and tonnes of headroom. Very dynamic as well, looking at the meters bouncing is fun.

Bro just noticed this segment, wasn’t appearing previously on my screen. Good to know u live so nearby. Lotsa HT audio fans live around this area, not sure why but a lot of them...

Well some updates:

1. Just installed the Legacy Silhouette center, man that thing is huge. Big upgrade in vocals, much more clarity. Now matches closer to the LR main Legacy Signature towers.

2. My long time serving REL S5 went kaput. Got the quote to replace the main board was almost as much as a new subwoofer. So likely will get the Rel S510. Plan to do stereo sub with the REL G2.

3. Got a REL T5i just to run high level signal for the center channel.

4. Got 2nd hand JLE110 as backup whilst the S5 went for servicing at a good price. I believe I’ll just keep it and put this at the back wall.

I’ll be running a 4 sub system.. lol..

Some updates to the system:

- Muse Prepro has finally arrived and installed. Been loving it so far, awesome detailed sound and clarity. It's not been calibrated yet will do that after CB over.

- Added a pair of Atmos front over head. Now system is set as 5.3.4 with 2 pairs of front LR .

- Added HDFURY Vertex 2 video processor to split and scale 2 outputs for pj & TV.

 

Think that's it so far, really enjoying this setup..
