proftournesol Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 This is one of my albums of 2012. If anyone else has this on vinyl can you comment on the side 3 sound quality? My copy is extremely distorted almost to the point of painful unlistenability, but only on Side 3. I've heard that every copy is the same and it's a pressing fault but I'd like to confirm it. Shame because the whole side is an absolute gem!
josh0571 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I don't have this LP so maybe OT prof but have you heard his two studio albums from 1970-71, self titled and Time of the Last Presecution? Both are well worth a listen.
proftournesol Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 I haven't heard them but noticed that they have been re-released on vinyl
hugo_wilco Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I have it. I returned the original because of this problem. The new copy I received is even worse. Such a shame because I rated my favourite album of 2012 in the related thread.
Captain Crunch Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 An easy problem to fix- just buy the CD!
proftournesol Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 I've got a digital download of the album, but it's frustrating to have the best side of the LP ruined by a pressing fault.
Newman Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) It is certainly a ripper album. I have it on CD. Sorry to hear about this LP issue. I am sure it must sound great on LP. Certainly my CD is a good advert for the CD art. Thank goodness in this case the CD option is a goodie when the LP has an occasional pressing issue! Edited January 5, 2013 by Newman
