Hey Guys

headshell newbie here.

As i am getting an Ortofon AS-309S 12" static-balance tonearm i will no doubt be looking at getting some headshells at a later date and play with some carts.

For now i will be installing an ortofon SPU synergy cart on it, but i do like to have a play

So your recommendations please

I can't find the email now but there was an introductory price for those who had bought the Uniprotractor from the maker. The introductory price was more than 500 euros I recall. Too much moolah for me.

Shane, can you confirm that?

I can confirm that it is circa USD550

I am thinking of getting one for my Miyabi cartridge.

That is correct. I was able to get it cheaper as I own the Uni Tractor for $399, however I did not take Dert up on the offer.

If I owned the FR 66S I would get one :D

For something slightly more affordable, I would recommend the Nagoaka Magnesium head shell. No longer made by them but the very same head shell is at the link below. They also pop up on ebay . This is better than a lot of magnesium head shells I have experimented with and has really good connecting wires as well.
