This kopi always reminds me of that scene from the Bucket List- when Jack Nicholson finds out that his favourite coffee comes out of a civet's ass  ;D ;D

 

It has a surprisingly mellow flavour, not v acidic and quite smooth as a result with a little smokiness and vanilla undertones for me anyway :P

 

Some coffee aficionado told me my way of making coffee is the best way to assess a coffee's character- dunno what u guys think of this. Basically it's a fine grind, filtered through coffee paper (wet first with water off the boil, then pour on the rest). I find it's best to start with pre-warmed cups.

I do it as I'm too cheap to buy machine and the grinder hardly takes up any counter space :P

First pack I tried was the Kalosi Toraja and not too bad at all. Even the SO tht so too :P

 

Migh topen the other fairly soon as have a few ppl over this weekend

 

While there is no roast date there is an expiry which is 130811 so I will assume a 1 year use by (which is in reality min 5-15 max after roasting - some would say less max is the best) so I guess roasted 13 August 2010.

 

The other packet was Arabika and is 310810 roast based on my 1 year expiry.
