Just letting everyone know that Kmart now sells acoustic absorption panels - but for some strange reason they advertise them as Lazyboy cushions....:)

Nice job Frank. Where did you source the fabric from, and is it speaker-suitable fabric?

Spotlight from memory, loose-ish linen weave so not speaker driver cover material.

i wish i had the skills / equipment / space to make some of these panels

Honestly, not much skill required, some wood that can be cut to size in bunnings, screws, staples, insulation, breathable fabric and you're pretty much set.

Thanks Ken, I've also contacted GIK acoustics, waiting to hear back from them - Main issue is the bass gets a bit boomy and overpowering on a few  tracks - Speakers are playing across the short side of my 3.5x 4 m room

Speakers seem to image well, just like to tame that bass a bit

You may be getting combe filter problems, which in your case is probably the distance from the wall to the back of your speaker. Either adjustment toward or away from the wall will rectify this. Bass traps won't do much in this situation
