We had the bricky out today and got our window bricked up and ready for 3 smaller double glased windows. Which will then sit behind acoustic panels

Its been a long time, but I finally got back in there..

Since last time we have had the wall bricked up and double glaze windows installed.

I have installed frames along the front wall and filled with insulation for a baffle wall.

The front bench is now glued, bolted down, patched up, sanded, and ready for paint.

I also did a rattle test this morning, before going any further.

Cranked up one of those dumb bass test videos on YouTube at reference levels.

No rattling what so ever. Light fixtures in other rooms were shaking tho haha

Ok, its been a while. Now we have smart downlights installed (lifx)

The speaker holes for atmos have been cut out. I decided to go with the krix amtospherix a20 and s20 speakers, as the MK inceillings are too expensive and also don't have a tilted speaker like the a20

I have a chippy coming in tomorrow to frame up the walkway and install a solid core door.

My screen and projector are finally being ordered after a year on lay-by ( damn covid)

All my custom speaker cables are made, they are in a prototype stage at the moment. But I will be looking at selling these custom speaker cables. "Ultra pure oxygen free" DM if interested as these cables will **** on the $3000 cables of the world.

All cable entry points are cut out and I have installed black brush plates.

For behind the screen/ coming out of the AVR, I have installed a 19" RU rack brush plate for all the cables to go through, then just single plates for the individual speakers

Not too much longer now...

Ok! My screen arrived, I picked up mt diffusers for the back wall, thanks to Enzo at home theatre engineering.

I re painted my ceilling for the 5th or 6th time. Though this time I asked my mate who is a qualified painter what i am doing wrong, as I couldn't get a flat finish without huge amounts of roller marks. I went out to a dulux shop and bought the Oldfield's roller pictured below. The difference is night and day! If you intend to use dulux home theatre black. Buy these rollers ( these cant be bought at bunnings), I would have saved myself a lot of time and money...I tried to get a photo of the before and after. But it didn't come out at all in a photo, both looked the same.

The mounting brackets for the acoustic panels are up and ready to go, again, thanks to Enzo at HTE.

I'm picking up my Sony 590 from West coast midland today!

And lately a pic of the couch we are looking at getting.

Tell me what the S150’s hooked up to the emotiva sound like. I think I’m going to go with emotiva as well, but also get the stereo modules for the rears and atmos.

It's awesome man, instantly had so much more clarity when I hooked the emotiva up.

But with distribution stopped in Australia, might be worth going with something else?
