dBb_dBb
Hi there, just wanting to find out if anyone knows anything about Hitachi d450 tape deck. I have searched through the internet and also through various forums and found no information. Can anyone advise me about the quality and any specifications of it please. Thank you

cwt
There seems to be a few variants of this model @dBb_dBb some with traditional piano key transport controls and others with the type jvc decks liked Standard dolby b model with only single capstan drive -not dual for speed stability ; later models included manual bias controls and the best upmarket ones had automatic test tones to adjust bias so upper frequencies weren't rolled off..Later models had faster led meters so you could push record levels more precisely without overloading the tape. Different model descriptors based on where they were sold - https://www.cassettedeck.org/hitachi/d-410 Edited March 23, 2019 by cwt
