Just been down to the river to pick up some Sydney rock oysters from a mate.

It looks like the rivers clean again and they are all starting to pick up again down there.

His wife was in the shop shucking and she gave me one that was washed. Not bad.

My mate came and got me and we walked down to where he was grading them straight out of the tray. He shucked a big one for me and it just shat all over the washed one. Why anyone would buy them in the bottle? I have no idea.

Anyway, hes sold this last two weeks, 3 thousand dozen. Soo good to see the Hawksbury back up and running again.

Was watching a doco on Islay (west coast of Scotland) and I swear the oysters there were the size of a steak (knife and fork material)! Love me some oysters....

I've had a Pacific that was big enough to cover the cooked side of a chicken breast on the barbie while I was cooking the other side of the chook breast.

They were from another mates farm on the Manning River.
