Confession!

 

There a thing about salt, taste buds ,and temptation.....

 

Yesterday temptation got the better, because of my taste buds....

 

I can sooo relate to Eve when the snake told her that eating this apple will give you knowledge,  I mean God expected her to do it,   Yeah that's right that cheeky creator was up to no good!  Put her there in the raw with an empty stomach infront of an Apple tree with a talking snake telling her she will gain knowledge if she eats an apple,  what do ya think is gonna happen?     And the rest is history!  

 

So here I am yesterday, In an Aldi, rolling down the with a supermarket trolley.   There's the nut section.....don't look, don't look, just remember salt is no good for you!    Out of the corner of my left eye, somehow the vision went into "selective viewing "   And some how it tweeted $2:50.     $2:50 FOR A PACK OF 300gm ADDICITIVE SALT AND VINEGAR NUTS...."

 

" Hey Honey, here the nuts you wanted...."

"oh great here they are,  I've.beeen to several stores and can't find them, now I know where to look"

 

So a packet of salt and vinegar and  a packet of lime and chilli gets selected and thrown into the trolley!

And then there's Aldi's chocolate coated licorice pieces for just $2/pkt, not nuts I know, but gotta be nuts not to take home 3 or 4 packets at a time as they only last minutes trust me....

Last time I checked, those Aldi nuts are loaded with suger

 

My family has a weakness for salted macadamias. I typically by the direct from a processor in Dunoon.....the ones from Woolies are rubbish by comparision

 

Failing that, Aldi's salted pistachios

 

Aldi sell the most magnificent dates......but damn, talk about a sugar hit....I reckon I loaded on about 5 kgs in 3 months....a pack a week....needless to say, that has stopped
