Aloysius Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 actually the ultimate indignity is an elitist condascending know-it-all having his "theories" debunked logically and surgically and returned to sender by someone who is perceived by him to be just "someone from OT" who hasnt ever posted "anything of value"I reckon even Aloy could find holes in his "theory" big enough to drive a carbon tax through If he was even vaguely interested Leave me out of your fulminations - if you don't mind
gone_bush Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I guess there is one good thing about this thread moving to OT: We can now take the urine out of, well, just about everyone who posts here.
mello yello Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 ha ha ha my missus just asked me (rather caught me ) and said are u guys for fkn real ? 172 pages on advice for power cords ??!!! I said yeh well its the latest bling btw , she said "dont go anywhere near DSE if you have top of the line amplifiers"
Dork(original) Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I guess there is one good thing about this thread moving to OT: We can now take the urine out of, well, just about everyone who posts here. Bushie,to right This thread is like herpes... just when you think it's gone back it comes And the secret is to have the power point higher than the amp. As we all know electrons flow quicker down hill Paul.
betty boop Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 what about a red power cord, will that work faster.......... blue neon helps

Tweet Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) But if electrons flow quicker down hill than up.... how do they get along in space ? Hmmm ! Don't tell me..........Hummmm ! C.M Edited December 20, 2011 by Tweet
SDL Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 But if electrons flow quicker down hill than up.... how do they get along in space ? Hmmm !C.M No electrons in space, and it can be proved using double blind testing to see if you can hear someone scream, if you can't hear them nine times out of ten then power cords don't make a difference and therefore no electrons

Paul. it wouldnt be an electron if it didnt move, Paul, its what makes the squiggly pattern that pissed Einstein off so much he just wanted to split the bloody thing in two and just buy a desk mobile instead thats what the ABC logo is , a radar tracking of an electron moving both uphill and down ( and back again ) Edited December 20, 2011 by mello yello II
mello yello Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 sort of like Triggs avatar, http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showuser=3434 ...only different

Once was an audiophile Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Kajak, I think I owe you an apology for my reference to "a welder's loudspeakers", that was diminutive of me towards your skillful profession. A professional skill a good many of us wished we could even in part, master. It was just that Treblid had been pushing the boundaries for sometime now and as you had been associated with him in previous postings in this thread, his mentioning your speakers got you an undeserved retort. Yes, choosing the capacitors and the resistors for the crossover network isn't too shabby for ' just a welder ' as you put it. What were they ? .....Jansen 'Superior Z-Caps', or Oil filled Paper ., MOX resistors. There is the law of diminishing returns that's operative in all this customizing you know. Anyway, have a Happy Christmas and all. C.M No need for apology chickenman next life time i plan to become a politician (decide my own pay rise ) The capacitors are duelund vsf and resistors are mundorf Mresist,i had 3 pairs of ml1's here all the same colour with different xover parts can't go past a duelund cap in a xover.diminishing returns only if a ipod dock is good enough for me spending big $$$ on cars is a diminishing return my hifi gives great pleasure. enjoy your journey welding sucks after 18 years of the crap just paid my house off soon welding bye bye Edited December 20, 2011 by kajak12
cwt Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Gravity my friend..So in space electrons don't move.Paul. Well thank god for that ;the solar wind doesnt have electrons that may wipe out our electronics and heaven forbid enter our amps [ on topic you bet ] http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect/sun/wind.html I wonder if Richard Branson includes insurance if the rockets computer gets fried over the ionosphere ;naw he'll cover it up cause your dead ;wont go now
Meinoz Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 The things you miss out on when you don't have time to troll the entire site. Two things I'd like to add (as an electrician). 1. You need to have your power point installed just below the ceiling (ie nice and high), if you are going to use the cheap power cords with high end equipment. 2. I didn't know Mello had a missus, who the hell could put up with him in real life? At least I can just log off when I've had enough of him!! Oh, was this a serious thread???
gone_bush Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 All this talk of electrons have started me thinking (yeah, I know, it's about time). Perhaps we shouldn't be focusing on the power cords but what flows in them - electrons. Now if these electron thingies are all rough and jagged then there will be more resistance and that "jagginess" will translate into poor sound quality. Can we devise a method of polishing these electrons so that they flow more easily? Of course, they may become rough again after going through some of the internal componentry so we'd have to re-polish them several times if we want that true Hi-Fi experience. Hmm, but what about the power that is used by the polishing circuitry? That would need nice, highly polished electrons as well. I see a chicken-and-egg thing here. Need a better mind than mine to solve that circular problem! Maybe we could use a perpetual motion machine and some power generated by cold fusion?

gone_bush Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Here you go:http://www.bybeetech.com/ourtech.asp From TFA: During transit through the Quantum Purifier, quantum noise energy is stripped off the electrons, streamlining their flow through ensuing conductors. What a crock!!!!
DrP Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I'd say! Unless the ensuing conductors are also run through the purifier their electrons are going to be all over the place and likely to collide with the stream of sleek coherent inbound electrons. Imagine it. 100,000,000,000 electrons all colliding. If that isn't going to induce noise I don't know what will!
gone_bush Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 And what if String Theory is correct? What happens if some of those strings gets frayed? I guess really little people with scissors or such like will have to run around and clip those pesky furry bits of the electrons.
Puss in Books Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 What a crock!!!! The benefits of this process extend beyond the physical length of the Quantum Purifier. As electrons speed through the purifier, a "slipstream" effect is formed which facilitates current flow in the surrounding conductors of the playback system. Introducing Bybee Quantum Purification into the electron path reduces quantum noise and increases signal velocity, resulting in performance improvement beyond what is attainable by any cable alone, no matter how well designed I tried one of these on my wireless router. Unfortunately, I sync'ed my iTunes catalog and it was so efficient the electrons smashed into my Apple TV and crushed it into a naked singularity. On the plus side, my xbox live subscription is stuck on the event horizon and now expires on the 12th September 214,005,965,802,647.
