Is there something going on with the Footy Show on 9 tonight broadcast in Perth

very poor quality!

Yep - it's crap.

Analog reception is just as bad on 9 tonight too.

You'd think one of their own staff would be watching and report it to their technical people..... seeing as we don't have a contact number to ring !!!!!!!!

I think there has been a power problem in the Hills because all digital and some analog transmitters were all affected. When ever there was a white horizontal bar on the analog screen the digital signals were all breaking up.

It's gone now.

At the beginning we switched to SD and it was better than HD.

Dumb question but WHICH footy show are you complaining about?

Here in Canberra, we have the option of the NRL Footy Show on Win (Nine) SD and the AFL Footy Show on WIN (Nine) HD.

I have a problem with the AFL one on WIN HD dropping audio for about 5-10 seconds every few minutes.

I know it's not my STB as I have a second HD box (different manufacturer) and it does the same thing.

I'd be interested to find out which Footy Show before I have a go at WIN TV.

Perth doesn't get the choice AFAIK, so it would be AFL Footy Show.

Giving the viewers a CHOICE !!!!!!

Something Ch7 in Perth could easily do with their inexplicable delay of Fri Night AFL every single Friday, when they start the game after its actually finished !

If their programmer had more than 1 braincell, they could show the games live on 7HD and still play it delayed at 8.30pm on the SD and analogue services....

they have to do it either simulcast or on the SD Channel first due to anti-siphon rules.

HUH !!!! Sounds like craziness to me.... they are showing it free-to-air, should be no problem... All channels should be compelled to show games live or offer it to one of the other host broadcasters. No excuse with multi-channels now !

anti-siphon rules were introduced firstly to make certain sports have to be shown on FTA and with DTV and HD/SD, it was altered so that Sports on this list had to be shown on the Main SD Channel before it could be shown on any other channel, unless it's simulcast.
