It will cool down around 5pm, quite quickly, if you happen to be getting too hot.

Well, it was probably 25 deg C out at Andy's this arvo and please excuse my slow typing because I had a few more drinks than I normally would at these functions because I hitched a ride with 4hecksakke [thanks Rod] because one of the tyres on my conveyance was flat on one side!!:D

What a great afternoon Andy and thanks to the girls who did a terrific job of looking after us blokes.................and congratulations to Jo for winning the Pizza bake off competition with Sanchia a close runner up and I think a special mention for Andy who also particitated......thanks Andy!:)

We of course had a listen to a wide variety of speakers and associated equipment as Andy seems to find these things lying around at the dump...................such as a Linn LP12 TT that is sounding really sweet indeed. I think I'll talk to Grumpy and see if we can go together to the local Port Adelaide tip and see if we can't find the same treasures Andy seems to be able to bring home.:party

Another fabulous afternoon, great SA company, some notable no-shows and a simply sensational GTG. Thanks again Andy and Jo for your hospitality and opening up your house for us today.

Cheers,

Keith

today, my fave pizza - for colour alone, although it tastes great. Spinach, onion, fetta and pomegranate seeds. Normally has pine nuts too but we've fun out.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. My apologise to Andy and the regulars for my non appearance. Think your self lucky, because I'm gunning for that Pizza cook-off prize, one day. Glad the day was a goodie for you all.

Yes it was a great afternoon Grumps and I know you would have really enjoyed it. Everyone was asking where you were..............catch you at the next one mate.

BTW, I have a CD of yours that Paul borrowed so I may drop it in today sometime.

Cheers,

Keith

Thanks Andy and Jo, Sanchia and all the little pizza helpersa and other SNAers. A top arvo indeed.

I finally got to see the Things sheds...omfg, camoab...they are unbelievable...only Andy could come with that!

And Andy, the cream of your dump finds combine together very nicely to produce some blastingly good tunes, particularly enjoyed the blues guys covering stones tunes thru the plessey's.

Oh and I did vote for one of your pizza's... well at least i think you did make it...

cheers,

4hecks

Thanks for a brilliant afternoon, we enjoyed ourselves but it was all over so quickly. How does time move so fast when you are having fun :party

There were many nice Pizzas served on the day but alas the big talker got voted down, last place in fact :) Final standings were:

1) Mrs Thiing

2) Mrs Mondie

3) Andythiing

Grape Pizza with cream is a taste sensation, l could live on it.

Pictures please.

Sorry about being slack with pictures - Im just a sore looser:mad:

Bloody Sanchia whipped my arse at Pizza cooking - she made some fine and tasty gear - then out of nowhere (and while im busy hosting the music) Mrs Thiing wips up two great desert Pizza's and wins the competition - who let her enter:confused:

Had a great day - lots of food, lots of good company, lots of good music and a little too much beer drunk by me;):):hiccup

and some of the hard work

My first effort was a sea salt and fresh garlic starter Pizza - was a bit too liberal with the sea salt - cooked on the 1930's metters stove - I put them on top to crisp up the crust before serving

This was a ham and pineapple for the kids

red onion, roast capsicum, salami and olive pizza

Mrs Monde makes some gorious creations - i've forgotten what she used but hell she makes a fine pizza - that explains Mr Mondies waste line:nana

Nowthepictures of Pizza's ran out on my camera at that point in the arvo so im guessing the beer consumption had reached a limite where i no lnger knew how to use a camera:hiccup

To recover this morning I cooked up some left over Kanmantoo Bacon and eggs - eggs came from a friends chooks - yelloest eggs i ahve ever seen - yum yum yum

Set up three listening areas for the day to playt with some of the shed gear

This area had the JVC Zero 4s, Morel and JBL speakers

This had B&O 1200 & 4702 beovox's from erly 70s vintage - the realistic minumus 7's (did not play them)

And this was the Wharfedale Airdales 1965 (not yet fully restored) and thehome made plessy dump find.

And the guys all voted this as the best LP of the DAY:party

What a motley looking crew :)

The pizza's look fantastic though - just finished my dinner and I'm hungry again looking at them.

Great pictures Andy.

Looks like a great day was had by all.

Love the pizza oven :)

Really like the look of the red onion, roast capsicum, salami and olive pizza.

Cheers, Earle.

Big thanks to Andy and Co from me too. I had a great afternoon.

I had another commitment and wasn't able to get there early enough for lunch, but I was in time for desert and was rapt that grape pizza Mondie was talking about. I now know there is another worthwhile purpose for grapes apart from wine. It was scrumptious!:)

Mrs M also wants to thank Andy +++ for the lilies he sent home with me. She loves them.:) It really put me in the good books when I got home. Actually, the attached photo is of the last lot you brought us, Andy. They lasted a couple of weeks and this lot look just as good. Might have to place a standing order with "Andythiing Floral Wholesale Supplies"

Love the stove Andy, it obviously cooks a good pizza. Was going to look into building a wood fire pizza oven but your Metters has got more more class than that, you wouldnt know where any more are laying around would you?

Many thanks to Andy, Jo and all the helpers (including the big woolly dog) for your hospitality yesterday. It was a great day. All the pizzas were excellent, and I had a chance to sample the grape pizza that I'd heard about. It was excellent too.

It was also good to catch up with fellow SNA members, and get to know them a bit better.

And now that I've seen first hand what Andy has rescued from becoming landfill, I'm really very impressed. That's quite a heritage collection you have there, Andy.

Once again, thanks. :)

Cheers,

Mike

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's pizza night.

Got myself some new flour this week, much better to work with, hopefully yummier, put plenty of yeast in so it should be right, will find out in around 20 minutes.

I've been put on uh-hum, a diet, the scales have past the ton, so time to loose all those potato cakes I've become addicted to since quiting the gaspers.

So a new "light" pizza is on the menu this week.

Mashed tomato's

Garlic

oregano

60gms light mozzarella

sliced onion

sliced olives x 3

cherry tomatoes

cashews

shaved parmesan

I'll get a photo after baking.

Cheers, Earle.
