I look forward to it. I will be back in Shanghai next week, I'm going to try and visit HiendpandaAV I think they have M9 in the show room. After Shanghai I'm going to Japan, then home. Third time to Japan this year, it's an interesting place. I want to visit the Esoteric factory in Tokyo on a future trip.

Oh yeah, and my car is off the road. KIA wants $2000 for a new alternator. My alternator is outputting AC instead of DC and the computers in the car don't like it. And neither does the battery. And they reckon I need a new turbo actuator and that's another $2000. I told them they're dreaming. But they have the only Kia Sorento alternator in all of WA. 10 business days ex-east coast for a non-genuine alternator. And of course my car is just out of warranty.

You could try this guy for an alternator. Went and he installed one for my brothers Mitsubishi. Seemed very knowledgeable.

Has a garage setup out the back of his house near Tuart Hill Primary school. 🙂

Red wine tastes the same as white wine to me. Think of the money I save not buying the $180 bottles, $5 clean skins get the job done just as well for me!

They are doing very well, actually.

Dan, Jason, and George are on their way back from Munich. Their customer support is excellent. So far, they have been very responsive and transparent in our dealings. They even gave me the option to change my mind due to a delivery delay of another month. There has been no sales pressure or any attempt to force a potential buyer to make an immediate deposit to secure the deal.

 

The M9s may potentially find a new owner in Queensland.

M9 is very serious money. That MXO analog active crossover which comes with M9 is a beast. I asked Esoteric if they had any plans to build a similar thing and they said no.

Not too long now. The truth is, I'm experiencing staying up at night, visualising how they would standing in the room. I hope their arrival comes soon, before this sleep deformation became irreversible. 😂

Are you planning on keeping your current Gryphons to do the job or are they scheduled for an upgrade too?

I have spoken to Eddie regarding the Pilium. However, it is often a man's journey with his own horse, and for that, my plan is to explore the current electronics prior to irrationally jumping the gun with unforeseen rabbit holes.

 

Ultimately, the current electronics are nothing short of flawless to my ears, and I am genuinely content with them.

No way of knowing without trying first. Completely rational approach and not something to rush.

I'm a fan of the Gryphons, very capable and as you say no need to upgrade if you don't want to.

I suggest contacting Consumer Protection in WA.

What you have listed appear to be major defects under Australian Consumer Law.

You have statutory rights under ACL which may extend past your cars warranty period (depending upon how many kms you have travelled/the length of your manufacturers warranty/the nature of the defects etc. 

Kia quoted me $2,895 to supply and fit a new alternator to my Sorento. It's only got a faulty $2 diode in the alternator's diode bridge but they don't overhaul them, must buy a whole new unit. And $2,000 for a new turbo actuator. It's ridiculous. And the gas struts that hold up the bonnet don't. And the electric boot has a mind of it's own. And almost $500 in diagnostic fees. All eating into my HiFi purchasing power.
