A very big thank you to @doogie44, @Steff and @Chill3 for your thoughts and guidance. I’ve been working with my dealer here in Melb and have settled on something very different - Mark Levinson No5105 and a Sutherland Little Loco Mk 2. Very different from what I started looking at however, i really love the sound of the ML table and Sutherland phono amps are very dynamic and quiet.

Hi everyone, I’m seeking some wisdom and guidance on a new system. I’ve haven’t owned a turntable for a few years however, haven’t stopped buying vinyl and it’s time they get some air time! I can set up a turntable however, I’m far from a pro. I’m considering the following: - Technics SL1200G - I like the idea of being able to swap cartridges and it’s robust nature is appealing. I’ve had experience with older 1200s. - Ortofon Cadenza Blue - I’ve listened to this cart in some high end tables and really liked what I heard. I’d also love to get an SPU at some point. - Parasound JC3+ - admittedly I haven’t listened to this one however, professional and personal reviewers all seem to speak quite highly of the amp and it appears to have the sonic signature I like. My budget is approx $15k. Am I on the right track or making an expensive mistake thanks James
