  1. I've personally had the Thor PS10 and now I'm using a Gigawatt EVO 2 power conditioner, and I much prefer the Gigawatt. I'm also using a DC Blocker in the chain with positive results as the Gigawatt model doesn't have a built in DC Blocker as standard it's an add on. So I've just purchased a Holton DC Blocker to try out and should arrive early Feb, my current one I ordered from Bulgaria and has performed very nicely but thought I'd try a local product. So I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Holton Power Conditioner link here: Audio Balanced Power Conditioner | Holton Precision Audio I like trying different things and the Holton seems like a solid product.
  2. Hi. I received a reply from Krix yesterday and I’ll provide you with what their solution is and they have provided photos. I work shift so I’m working 5am-15:30 today..I’ll send you everything Krix sent me including pics when I get home. Cheers Simon
  3. Just an update. I've reached out to Krix in relation to getting replacement brackets and see if they can actually be replaced. Will know next week all going well.
  4. Further Information: Hi all. Up for sale are 4 x Krix Stratospherix AS ceiling speakers purchased from Selby in late 2018 (Nov-Dec), unfortunatly I cannot locate the original purchase receipt. These were installed on the 07/12/2018 by Audio Trends in Melbourne and were powered by an Electra 7 channel amp and perform flawlessly. Unfortunatly during the unistall (myself and a friend) the bracket that holds the lockin anchor on 2 of the speakers was broken. I have only one of the broken bracket section from one but lost the other (refer to pics). I believe this will not affect the install into the ceiling as it's only the bottom section of the brackets that have broken off which stops the anchor from dropping out when not installed. The top of the anchor is held on by long deep screws for each anchor (4 on each speaker). I hope I have explained this clearly enough. With this in mind I have priced accordingly at a 3rd of the RRP going currently from Selby: https://www.selby.com.au/newsletter/krix-ic-80.html I no longer have the boxes or instructions so would prefer pickup in Sunbury 3429, Melbourne, Victoria. Feel free to ask any questions.
  5. Further Information: Hi all. For sale is my Oppo UDP-205 4K Player. The unit was originally purchased from Audio Trends in Melbourne,Vic on the 08/11/2017 and presents as new. Since ownership the DVD Mechansim was replaced on the 26/11/2019 at Interdyn and also I had the Main Board replaced on the 22/09/2021 as there was a slight buzzing from the back left surround speaker (confirmed it was the Oppo when I connected the Panasonic). The replacement has fixed this issue which they couldnt replicate in their workshop but I insisted the issue was there so I paid for the repair. The unit has been boxed up for the last year and a half since I am now using a Panasonic 820 for playback. I have all the receipts of the repairs/purchase as well as all the original packaging. The player has the region code chip/board so it can playback all regions, and the remote is basically new as I use a logitech remote. I used the original remote to change regions but 4K discs dont require this and I only own 2 US Blurays that requied the region change. Please PM me if you have any questions.
  6. Further Information: For sale is my Nordost AC Distribution board with 8 inputs (AUD). This was purchased new from Carlton Audio Visual on the 18/02/2019 cost was $2,495.00. I have the original receipt in email form shown in the posted images. The unit presents as new with no scratches and had not moved since install. Unit has performed flawlessly since purchase. More information porvided with link below: https://audiosolutions.net.au/product/nordost-qb8-mkii-ac-distribution-board-8-inputs/ I have the original box (no damage) and with the extra fuse that is suppiled (refer to pics). Any questions please feel free to contact me.
  7. This is my next purchase and wont be for awhile while I save or win Tatts tonight.
  8. The decision was made before connecting anything up. They are designed to be orientated either way depending on setup, this was confimed by Michael from Krix when I asked the question at the time on the install.
  9. Here is a pic of one speaker with the mounts attached
  10. Hi. The installer did drill in the isolation brackets into each speaker, not 100% which ones he used. I also had the 3 fronts rotated upside down as they can be positioned that way..
  11. So both subs in place and system calibrated this morning. Excellent result and enjoying the abundance of deep controlled bass. Room is pretty much complete now.
  12. Thanks for that, and great to hear your joining the Krix family. I've just gone and done something rather crazy and purchased two SVS PB 16 Ultras to replace my Power Sound Audio T-18 (Sold). One is being delivered tomorrow and the other sometime next week. Been awhile since I've run 2 subs and never with a Trinnov ALT16 so should be interesting.
  13. Hey all. I had the room painted today, just waiting for it to dry before putting back everything. I think it looks good.
  14. Update on the room build. Marc and his tradie came today and installed a wall extension (rear wall)and installed some acoustic panels ( diffusion/absorption)). They look fantastic and excellent job as always . Going to recalibrate tonight and do some listening. If anyone is interested in the Diffusor and absorption panels, here are the links for both: https://lifestylestore.com.au/product/artnovion-atlantis-flow-hybrid-absorber-diffuser-panel/ https://lifestylestore.com.au/product/artnovion-sparta-absorber-panel/ Next and final ( might get room carpeted) stage is getting the room painted black in 2 weeks.
  15. The material between the speakers is Acoustic Polyester Foam.
  16. Yep I sure am and so glad I went ahead with the upgrade. Totally transformed the HT experience for me and so much more immersive and the sound from the Megaphonix is incredible. Looking forward to implementing the acoustic treatments to finalise the room (for now), and have the system calibrated again. I would highly recommend these guys for any HT job: https://superbcinema.com.au/ So glad I chose them as they made the whole venture super easy and the attention to detail was what impressed me the most.
  17. Hey. Just an update on the setup, as I took delivery of a pair of Megaphonix On-Wall speakers (pair) for back surround duty. Complete overkill but thats how I roll and now the audio side of things is complete (maybe). These are replacing a pair of JTR Slanted 8's which are going to a mate. Big size difference and boy do they deliver the sound. I know they are closer to the main listening position but thats due to room limitations but they are forward of the rear Atmos ceiling speakers as much as can be and the back wall. The front seats are now approx 3.4m from the screen (120"). Calibration has been done and I watched A Quiet Place (first one) and it sounded incredible. The Trinnov really does a brilliant job of blending in all the speakers, but the system does need a professional calibration and that will come after I've sorted out some room acoustic panels to replace existing ones. The journey continues.
  18. Thanks Corza. No regrets going Krix they sound superb and now I have the screen setup to match the audio thanks to Marc and his team.
  19. Hi guys. I'll be going this Friday with my brother and most likely will be driving in from Sunbury as trains are not running due to boom gate removal so their running buses. So whats the best option for parking? Are we able to park in the hotel parking or is there a better option?
  20. Thanks for that. I have the luxury of living on my own so anything goes.
