Thank you . I had a Denon previously. The reason why I think it's more involved is that with the Audyssey, you needed to place the mic in the different listening positions. You then placed the mic in the remaining forward and back positions - creating a 'bubble' around the main listening areas. At least that's how I understood the process to be. With the Anthem, it appears that the mic position is to be placed in the main listening position. All other positions have to be X metre away from that MLP. So it's more 'defined' I suppose. I'm also unclear how to cater for the additional listening positions (on the coach). Hence my attempt at asking that question in my initial post. EXAMPLE: Previously my mic would be placed something like below. Positions 1-4 are all at various locations on the couch. I'm unsure with ARC, if positions 4, 3, and 2 (in my case) are redundant/unnecessary. Given what you said above it appears that it could be. 6 7 4 3 1 2 8 9 I think the subwoofer calibration is also different (for a dual woofer set up). You need to calibrate the sound level prior. IIRC, again Audyssey handles it quite differently. Not saying one way is better or worse than the other just different. And I'd like to know that I'm doing the best I can to follow the best practices with the ARC calibration. . All in all, I'm just adjusting to the new requirements/methods and trying to understand it as best as I can. Thank you again .

Hi fellow Anthem owners. I recently got a 720 and I've just been fiddling around with it. I'd like to see what and how others have done their calibration. In comparison to say Audyssey, I find the Anthem more involved. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different. I've got a 5.1. setup which I use for movies and gaming. I go stereo when listening to music. I don't have a big space. I'm curious how others have placed their mics when taking the readings. Have you followed the image below strictly? Or did you do something different? Given that there are multiple listening areas (on the coach), I'm curious if position 2 (as an example) should in the same row as 1 (from the image) below etc. Just trying to make sure that I've done things correctly. Thank you in advance.

I've been tossing and turning about getting the 940e with the current discount lol seeing that the 75 zd9 is NEVER EVER going to be released here. But I'm hoping the 75 940f will bring us closer to the Z9D.

Hey Peter, thanks for the message. The unit was purchased in early 2010. Without any real stats tracked, I will say that it's been used frequently - as it's THE player I go to for pretty much all of my disc media. Sorry I can't give you any hard numbers.
