  1. Good luck to the sale! From a fellow SR7002 owner!!!!!!
  2. Great AV Receiver! Beautiful Marantz Sound all the way!
  3. Great receiver! I have the SR7002. Repaired it for under $200 about a year ago. So, worth fixing the SR8002!
  4. Nice speakers and AV receiver - Marantz SR9600?
  5. My point is: You can cover these panels, if you brought them. Great price! Also great "Wife" acceptance in a shared living area, to have them covered with fabric!
  6. You can cover them with fabric from spotlight. This is what I have done!
  7. Good acoustic treatment for HT and stereo listening. Makes a big difference in my listening room! I have 2x 600x1200 in each front corner and 1x 600x1200 in each corner and 2x 600x1200 in the centre at the back. 300x1200 panels at the side and behind my tv for reflection reductions!
  8. Owned a SR7002 for over 10 years now! Great sound! Couldn't imagine what the SR9600 would sound like and the power!!!!
  9. Just curious which tv are the Shield's playback better? I have android Sony with some issues.
  10. Noticed on the packaging that it states DTS & Dolby True HD. Optical can not carry True HD, example TV to a Receiver!
  11. Thank for sharing your experiences. I currently have a 55" X9500H (2020) model in for repair at the moment. Issues with Netflix freezing (sound, but no video) and Red motion flare/ghost/blur. There is an issue with this tv/model, even with the main board being replaced! So I hoping I can change it for a 2021 model - X90J. Regards, Ron
  12. Wow! I wish I could sell this to the Wifi!!!!!
  13. Hi all, Proud owner of a Marantz SR7002. Still going after one service!!!! Had her for 11 years now. Would buy another series 7 in the future!!!
  14. Had our current fridge for a long time now! Wouldn't I have notice this issue before, or can it develop as the frisge ages?
  15. Hi all, Having a little issue, which is making me concerned for my Marantz SR7002 AV receiver and/or Right speaker at the moment. Every 2-3 hours or so (continuous use), I hear this quick loud low freq thud sound from my speaker (which to my ears is variable in volume, depending on my main volume on the AV receiver??) Have heard it via computer (HDMI to TV, then Optical out to receiver) and also now via Sony TV (using internal apps) via optical out again. Can optical do this? Things to Try: Turning portable heater off. Removing remote AC power plug on/off power (using behind tv, as cannot access power plug). Using Sony 4k bluray player Netflix app instead of Tv internal apps, which is connected to HDMI (audio) to AV receiver to isolate the optical connection from Tv. Using Filtered or unfiltered power surge protection from THOR power board. LAST resort - Leaving AV receiver on for 2 hours or so without any source as such and just listening! Regards, Ron
  16. http://noaudiophile.com/speakercalc/ for help with speaker placement and listening position.
  17. Moving my speakers and listening couch/chair made the MOST difference to better bass (tighter), mid range vocal transparency and further with room treatments - even just some side panels for better highs etc. Look for a room/speaker placement calculator online to help with setup. my couch is 1/3 from my back wall.
  18. Did you state, that you have one, but not using it? If so, selling at all?
  19. Thanks for the great info! I will keep this in mind for the near future as long as I keep my exisiting AV Receiver!
  20. I use Fibre Optical cable between my 4K Sony tv and an older AV receiver, because it doesn't have ARC. Otherwise I would be using HDMI, which to my ears, sounds better.
  21. Thanks for checking. I will be going to Harvey Normal tomorrow to check out one of there display tv to see if I can see the issue at hand. Then contact Sony on Monday! I have just over 1 month to go with the 1st year warranty, then 4 years of extended!
  22. Thanks for replying. Would you be able to check out friends on netflix in standard mode to see you can see the issue for me? Say season 1, any early episode for example.
