Ran into those fun guys in a white van near Wollongong train station car park as a late teenager. They were pushing "audiophile" dynamic audios fire sale speakers from the back of the van hard. Showed me the speaker they pulled from a fresh cardboard box and all so it "must be good". I could feel the FOMO rising as I was a young but eager to learn stereophile . Being a young tafe student I was a poor target and I declined their attempt to rug me of common sense.

I'm only moving on as I'm told I have too many speakers and they're taking over the living room : ) These sound excellent but you really need a power amp to get the best from them. I've been using them as my stereo front R/L speakers and they really do add massive dimension to movies and dynamic space to most music played through them. I need either one or a pair of drivers that are 6 inches across to fit a pair of bookshelf speakers that i have. One of the drivers is dying and starting to make muddy sounds on bass kicks which is quite annoying. If anyone has a single or pair of drivers (preferably a pair) please get in contact with me. I am running a Topping TP30 amp which is a chinese dac amp and using the headphones output to translate from computer audio to analogue at the moment... I would love to hear anything else just so i can get an idea of what better would sound like. The topping in this config is blowing me away constantly and I am finding it hard to believe that it could sound better. Cheers niceride
