Well Warren...my 2cents worth... first off your comment is the main reason i feel like giving Forums the flick sometimes.......read the OP question .... And why do Technics FanBoys ( and others!!) at any chance given start a belittle reply to question pertaining to an LP12!! As @tesla13BMW asked recommendations and thoughts on "upgrades" cause that's what he wants.... I bought a Pioneer PLX 1000 to give DD a chance.......Great budget TT I thought.....But there's a problem....( for me anyway).... So lets move up to a SL1210G and I throw on my DVXV1s.......yeah that should give the Linn i have a run for its money especially given my LP12 is maxed out so to speak... After owning Both DD for a good length of time.......Guess what!!!.....IMO BOTH DD have the same problem though the SL1210G to a far lesser extent... ( BTW does the SL1200G have better specs than SP10??...Technics say so..) Anyway my problem.... PLX1000.......can listen for about an hour or so then get bored...( mostly with a 2M Bronze/Black i should add... SL1210G/XV1s.......stretch that to about 3 hours.... Linn......all night long...and then some... Tase.

You forgot "1200G" Andy!! Absolutely!!.....you already have the Karousel!.. Every time......& I mean Every time I've upgraded my Linn the rest of the accompanying equipment has benefit too....( Inc some DSE A 2667 speakers!! ) The 2 you mentioned a must IMO... Key is set up...I've spent hours adjusting the suspension on mine and occasionally will do so to maintain correct level and arm board gaps exc which makes a HUGE difference irrespective of the innards used...IMO.. scratching an itch!! Spent a day a few weeks ago setting up this lot including the installation of the atmos modules on the L600 but running them from another separate amp to facilitate some speakers upward firing.. any improvements?? well the juries still out on that one.... Has a load of screws in varies forms and mechanical interfaces ....... Certainly sounded good once I'd set up this Linn... Problem is one of Service. This particular arm needs to go back to the UK so Mike can perform for one .... Not the arms fault was poorly packed in transit... Tase.

What Warren said..... One of the benefits of a Linn Urika phono imo.....( albeit its specific to a Linn Klimax LP12 ) cables from arm to Urika all of 6 inches long!! Tase.

Further Information: Cracking vintage amp that Ive had running for the last week with no issues save some switches might need a clean...Been driving some Polk L600 too!!! some minor legend letters worn away but overall facia is in great shape for its age...There's a small mark on the left near the Power switch!! veneer good too!!..a rarity!! Surprising good MM phono stage !!!.... Its old so sold as is!!! Cheers!!

Further Information: Pioneer PLX 100 with Ortofon 2M Black MM cartridge. Has never missed a beat... Have boxes and manuals for the Pioneer...Pioneer headshell never used.. Mate these L600 are up there with anything I’ve ever heard and for the money are a stone cold bargain even at least price .. Thought about the L800 but hulking a large speaker upstairs kinda puts me off!!.. Tase.
