  1. Pretty sure as this is a 7.1 amp....so you can only do 7.1 or 5.1.2. You'll need an amp that can do 9 channels of amplification to get 5.1.4 or 7.1.2
  2. was certainly WOW.......last night. As soon as the music changed at the wedding I thought something is going to go down. Can't wait to see how they'll end it next week for season 3.
  3. Well all is well, ended very well. All replaced within warranty. Just needed a new lamp and nothing else. Very happy camper with my projector going again.......
  4. I always ran it on eco mode and always powered down normally (i.e. Never turned off at the power point). Hope they honor it though.
  5. Hi everyone, I thought I would ask the experience people on here and see where I might stand on this matter. I've got an Epson 6100w (which I love by the way) and is only 4 months old. 3 weeks ago I noticed a little bit of a flicker and thought oh no the bulb is going to go. Then it stopped flickering, so I thought nothing more of it. Then on Saturday night watching the mighty hawks win, I left the room and came back to a black screen and the lamp indicator flashing. Great.....Unplugged it, tried it fire it up again but no go. Took the lamp out to have a look and it was shattered/blown. Now rang Epson and they want me to take it to there service company to look at it which is a pain but oh well. Here's my prob...... Even though its only 4 months old I've just done over 800 hours on it. So do I have a leg to stand on as the warranty says 12 months or 750 hours which ever is first on the lamp? I hope I do, but you never know with some companies.Or any tips on how to approach them if they are not willing to help me out (not ready to shell out $$$$$ already for a new bulb). Many thanks in advance for answering my question. Regards Michael.
  6. It has an adjustable arm on it to raise and lower the projector. So screen up to where i wanted it and adjusted the projector accordingly.
  7. Sorry John. Haven't been on much of late....playing with my new toy too much. My room is 5m (wide) by 7m( long) and i've got a 120" screen. The ceiling is 2.7m high and the bulkhead in the room is 3m(ceiling). Projector is about 4.3m back from the screen and drops down 500mm from the bulkhead ceiling.Height of projector from the floor is 2.35m. Screen is 750mm from the floor...... Regards Michael
  8. Here what your all saying....but the 6100W that i got was quite easy to put up and set (as long as you have the room for it). A little fiddly but to make it spot on was worth it and i'm very happy as a 1st projector newbie. Very rapt and loving it and all the good advice on here also. Cheers Michael
  9. Just watched Madagascar 3d tonight with the family tonight. Man everyone was very impressed. Still ironing out some connection issues but man I'm so glad I've got a projector. Never go back to a tv......
  10. Well I ended up getting a kids pair off eBay. They were a bit different to the other samsungs, but had had the same model no. Got a red and white pair for about $38 of an Aussie seller so very happy. I'll get a few of those $20 soon enough for guests. Now does anyone have any recommended settings for the 6100w. Thanks again Dave and cwt.
  11. Hi everyone. Longtime reader/lurker on these boards and love the wealth of knowledge on here. Now I have a Epson 6100w installed, and love it. Especially seeing this is my 1st projector. My question is i've currently got 2, 3d glasses and 3 more coming. But what i need is another pair that is a kids size. My daughter has a smaller head and requires something alot smaller and that wraps around her head abit. The ones i got with the projector fall off far to easy and she can't get them back on herself as she has a disability. Much help on this would be very much appreciated.
  12. Looking forward to this being released in early november.....The Tea Party. The reformation tour in Australia.
  13. So any good prices going on this set at the moment? Thinking about getting one of these.
  14. Would be nice...but being in Oz i'm sure we'll pay more.
  15. Yer i was there....bloody awesome show. Hope his current Wall tour comes here. Or at least a blu-ray version of it.
  16. Certainly quite a few unhappy campers on the AVS forums....
  17. Thanks for that....might have to have a look at that option also (they're only down the road from me).
  18. Gee you got a good price offer. I asked for the best cash price......but didn't push to hard. Not yet anyway
  19. Well i've been looking at the ikon 6's & 7's for a while now and had a listen to both and I'm really impressed. Went down today to see what $$$$ i could get them for. Including the vokal 2 i could only get them for $3400. About $350 of retail. Keep seeing the concept 6's & 10's on special, but never the ikons. Don't really want to go the concept way..... Do JB ever have a special on the ikons or % off there entire range of speakers. Thanks & Regards Michael
  20. I would of thought $600-800 seeing its an old model. Nice receiver though.
  21. Sorry, not sure where to ask this question but here i go..... Do the SD channels look any better using the IQ2 than the standard IQ Thanks Michael
  22. A bit pricey.....when bass shakers will do a good enough job and are so much cheaper.
  23. Hi there. I ended up picking up the 705 around Aug 08 for $1k......Very happy with the AVR. Went the 705 mainly from reading reviews on the AVS forum. Was looking at the 606 also at the time but couldn't justify the extra $300 for it. Had a quick look at the 805 also.....what a massive beast that was. Still got some average speakers connected to it at the moment (fronts & sub) but still a pretty decent sound. Got some in wall speakers for my rears and running 7.1. Handles all speakers very well. Even got some bass shakers in the lounge chairs....Love the kick arse effect. Very Happy
