    Hi Niterida, Do you have the original boxes, manuals and accessories? Can you do a video of the unit working. Last time I bought something from the forum, the unit was dead on arrival and was a complete saga getting the HDMI board replaced from overseas. Hey Roachy, remember the saga with my Pre amp?

    Seeing that you are knowledgable in this area. What is the most basic player that will work with what I need it for. Lower the price the better I play mainly bluray rips and my preamp decodes the signal. I don't know what sort of spec mine is as I bought it a while ago. I have a 120gb solid state drive in it which I think is a waste as it just has Openelec on it and nothing else.

    I only watch BD through the Oppo and the signal is sent to my Onkyo SC5509. I have a HTPC for digital media. I have 2 3D movies and don't intend buying anymore. Not sure if the picture would be better with the 103.

    Would the picture and sound quality be better than the Oppo BDP-80? I don't use it the player to decode audio.

    The screen will be going on a false wall with all the speakers sitting behind it so it will need to be AT. It's for a new build so in no super rush to get it.
