SOLD: Accuphase E202 Integrated Amplifier -AS CLASSIC AS CLASSIC GETS!

Featured Replies

Item:Accuphase E202 Amplifierpost-104548-0-55930200-1438137986_thumb. SOLD

Location:Busselton WA.

Price:$960

Item Condition:Good.Works perfectly. The bottom of the front panel has been buffed and repolished because there was unsightly marks there. You can see this in the photos but it is barely noticeable.A small area on the top has also had vent holes drilled in it.This was done to allow better cooling in this region-a known problem with these amps in hot conditions. Many top plates were replaced with mesh for this reason. So not completely mint original condition but still very good. All the knobs, dials and switches are clean and unmarked as is the fascia apart from the very bottom strip that has been buffed.Power meters and lights all work.

This amp has been completely professionally recapped with good quality RS component caps including the main power supply caps.It has also had a new  premium quality ALPS volume pot installed as the original was worn out. This was expensive as it also has to function as a loudness contour and had to be imported from Germany.

So it should be right for problem free use for many more years.

Reason for selling:Too many amps

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only or bank deposit

Extra Info:H Sounds superb.Great phono stage.Pair it with the Gale 401 speakers listed for sale on this site and you have a killer vintage system for about $2000 that will put most $10,000 plus modern ones to shame.

Lovely looking amp! GLWS

Isn't there only such a thing as too many amps if the wife knows that they are all amps - and that you don't usually need more than one?  What amp(s) have you decided to stick with? All the best with the sale.

Well I still have two Usher 1.5s,an Almaro 318B,a pair of Trimax EL 34 monoblocks, some Nakamichi 420s plus some overflows in the shed.

My CD player died and I still like listening to CDs so I needed the funds to replace that.

and he doesnt have a (bloody) wife :) ...hes got a (bloody) nice shed though..Alan

Yes but Al- the tragedy is this.....beautiful sheds are usually most appreciated by those with a wife....and if I had a wife I would  probably have to spend more time in the beautiful shed so that is being under -utilised  too- along with the overflow amplifiers that dwell within.

Well you have all those amps to keep you warm anyway - and you know that any time you turn one on you in the 'drivers seat'.  With wives, well after 20+ years...:)

Absolutely agree Jon! The pain and tragedy us audio nuts endure is quite frightening really isnt it?  :(
