Triangle’s GARDEN 7 Speaker Brings Hi-Fi to the Hedge Line

Triangle has taken the phrase “planted in high fidelity” quite literally with the GARDEN 7, it's new weatherproof loudspeaker.
Of course the French loudspeaker specialist Triangle isn’t usually associated with shrubbery. But with the GARDEN 7, part of the brand’s SECRET series of custom install and outdoor products, it’s digging into new territory, quite literally! Designed for patios, pool decks, and leafy landscaping, this is a rugged, weatherproof speaker that blends French flair with garden-variety practicality.

This is a passive, 360° dispersion speaker made for permanent outdoor use. A two-way coaxial driver combining a 25mm PEI dome tweeter with a 16cm polypropylene woofer fires downward onto a diffuser cone, distributing sound evenly in all directions. Triangle says this design helps avoid the usual “hot spots” or dropouts typical of many outdoor audio setups.
While its 86dB sensitivity and 60W RMS handling won’t rattle the neighbour’s fence, it’s more than capable of delivering background music with tonal richness and clarity across its quoted 63Hz–20kHz bandwidth. This is an outdoor speaker, after all not a mini PA system and one intended to complement the scenery, not overpower it.

Built with a UV-treated polypropylene enclosure and IP66 certification (meaning it's both dust-tight and highly water-resistant), the GARDEN 7 is made to live outside year-round with no seasonal packing away required. A choice of green or grey finishes helps it tuck neatly into flowerbeds or along garden paths. After dark, integrated LED lighting offers subtle, warm illumination to set the mood without resorting to tiki torches.
Installation looks to be straightforward thanks to a 12-volt power transformer for lighting and standard speaker cable input for audio. And for larger-scale deployments such as bars, hotel terraces or commercial landscaping, the GARDEN 7 includes a 100V-compatible power selector, making it suitable for distributed audio systems over long cable runs.

While outdoor speakers aren’t new, Hi-Fi brands with Triangle’s pedigree rarely venture this far into the garden bed. The GARDEN 7 sees the French marque taking its existing Secret EXT7 outdoor solution beyond patios and pergolas — offering something that sounds better than a Bluetooth puck, looks classier than a fake rock, and won’t flinch when the weather turns.

The Triangle GARDEN 7 is priced at €399 | £369 | A$850 per speaker, with timing for regional availability to be confirmed shortly.
