Bang & Olufsen Introduces Beo Grace Marrying Wearable Design & High-End Sound

Bang & Olufsen has introduced the Beo Grace, a striking new entry into its century-long catalogue.

Designed as a wearable sculpture, it distils the company’s values of craftsmanship, acoustic innovation, and timeless design into a form you can carry anywhere.

The earpieces are milled from polished aluminium, recalling the brand’s classic A8 earphones while pushing miniaturisation to new extremes. They rest in a seamless pearl-blasted aluminium case, cool to the touch and sculpted for pocketable portability. B&O describes Beo Grace as a wearable sculpture as much as a listening device — available at launch in Natural Aluminium with optional leather pouches in Infinite Black, Cranberry Red, and Seashell Grey.

Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen, commented on the new release:
“Beo Grace is more than a new product; it is a symbol of the century ahead. Inspired by the elegance of fine jewellery and crafted from our signature aluminium, it distils everything Bang & Olufsen has stood for since 1925: uncompromising sound, enduring craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.”

Comfort and practicality have also been carefully considered. The updated oval ear tips create a more secure fit and improved seal, while a fine nylon mesh protects the drivers from dust and debris. An IP57 rating brings dust and water resistance, and a discreet metal speaker grill reflects Bang & Olufsen’s attention to detail inside and out. Battery life is rated at up to 4.5 hours with noise cancelling engaged, or 17 hours when combined with the charging case. A quick top-up provides 2.5 hours of listening from just five minutes of charging.

Behind the elegant exterior, Beo Grace employs a new acoustic structure centred on a 12mm titanium driver behind precision-milled aluminium grills. This draws on engineering principles from the brand’s Beoplay H100 headphones, scaled down to earbud form. Support for Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos is designed to deliver stereo listening that feels more immersive and natural.

Noise-cancelling has also been significantly advanced. Bang & Olufsen says Grace’s adaptive ANC is four times more effective than previous designs, while avoiding the hiss and ear-pressure effect sometimes associated with competing models. Its new EarSense system continually monitors the listener’s surroundings and individual ear canal, adjusting performance in real time. Added wind reduction and a three-microphone array on each earpiece aims to maintain call clarity even in noisy environments.

Day-to-day use brings its own refinements. The latest Transparency mode reproduces outside sounds with greater realism, while tactile force-sensing controls provide reassuring feedback for playback and ANC modes. A new NearTap feature lets users adjust volume with a simple tap near the ear — right to increase, left to decrease — avoiding the frustrations often linked with touch controls.

Bang & Olufsen has also turned its attention to battery longevity, partnering with battery intelligence company Breathe to develop a management system that claims to withstand more than 2,000 charge cycles. That figure far exceeds the few hundred typically expected from wireless earbuds. Grace also debuts the brand’s Amadeus software platform for wearables, which promises ongoing performance and feature improvements through future firmware updates.

Bang & Olufsen’s Beo Grace will be available from 17 November, priced at €1,200 | US$1,500 | A $2,200. Registrations of interest are open now via the brand’s stores and website.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
