What are you DOING?!?!?!

I wouldn't do it like that,

Post pics of your recent failed attempts.

I just tried to get this table out of the small door in the shed (Cause the big door has too much stuff piled against it to open  )

So close

Got it out in the end.

I would have blamed the Beagle

As an only child I'm used to taking the full blame for everything

I concur with Ortofun, there is 1 child and 2 beagles in this household and my experience is that the beagle most certainly played a part!

haunted table was it ? meet the matching stool

A security video of a stool in a Singapore bar appearing to fall on its own before a ghostly spectre scurries across the screen has left viewers scratching their heads.

that barstool is a ghost, ... of the chair it was before

arent ceilings always white ?

Ummm not always.  The Sistine Chapel isn't white.

I painted the ex's ceiling a very light apple green and it is lovely.  The blue is just cold.  I don't want to paint it a third time so the next coat will be ceiling white or cream or something safe like that.

I'm not quite sure about the black power points either but I'm not about to change them.

Being a bit autistic means I just don't always do 'normal'.  In fact the whole house is very un-normal. I've had people wonder why I insulated the external faces of the rammed walls, why the windows are double- or triple-glazed, why there's R4 batts on the ceiling when the roof sheets are already R4 with aircell underneath, why there's a tankstand as well as a pressure pump, why there's a lot of rainwater storage as well as a bore, why there's only one bedroom and one bathroom, why the rooms are so big, why why why.

But do I care ?          No.

what about a dark roof with little flickery shiny bits and a dimmer

why do people ask stupid questions ? its your house, you paint/insulate/water/powdercoat/glaze/render/fence off/chop down/build up whatever the fkk you want, its yours alone to do with as you please

prussian blue with light walls would be cool

edit: sorry didnt mean to sound pushy about the blue

No problemo at all.    If I cared what people think about me I would've retreated to a cave long ago, though strangely enough what I'm building is an underground house on the surface.

Don't live in Frankstonia but a little north and a lot west.

If funds permitted I'd build far more outrageously and experiment a great deal as per the sparkly ceiling idea but until Santa comes through I won't be. Every year the hairy old git says that I've been bad again and he's right, so there's only a couple of lumps of coal in my stocking.  Unless Tony Rabbott has left them there.

yeah i know, it was the only town i could think of that started with F to match Florence

you could always claim a rebate on the carbon with El Rabbit

Gina will take it and should be able to sell it for a quid

thats what your dark prussian blue would look like

with white rafters if any

Hmmm ......... food for thought. Very nice indeed. Thank you.    Some internal walls are rammed limestone so somewhat similar to the photo and some are plasterboard.

The (flat, un-raftered) ceilings are 13mm plasterboard (why aren't they 10mm I'm asked ...).

The verandahs are 3m wide (why are they so wide I'm asked) and R4 insulated. One wall is full-height glass ( why etc). Each light can be switched from any switch point (why ...)

The trusses are at 900 centres. (yes ...). The solar HWS is mega-efficient and the solar panels pump out heaps of grunt. (don't get queried on that). The wood stove can be used for baking and has a top plate for saucepans and also makes hot water but I don't think it will get lit more than a couple of times a year.

But this house ain't no fail. Warm in winter with no heating and cool in summer with no aircon. I'll never get an electricity bill and will use very little gas. Once the food gardens are raging out I'll be very happy indeed and can stay home a lot listening to both excellent and dreadful music.
