8 panels (2.4m x 1.2) on the front wall

The ceiling cloud and side wall treatments have been ordered, so more pics once they're in.

Those should make the most striking difference in acoustics.

Great cables, and certainly offer pride of ownership.

I'm happy with my VdH cables for the moment. I am using "The Wind" to my speakers

Never heard Crystal. I love my Townshend cables.

Nice system, would be quite proud of that, very cool

i second this suggestion.

absolute dream will match the accuphase aesthetically as well as sonically, and will fit in the tight confines of your rack/wall interzone.

your system deserves the best. the atlas demands it.

RPG BAD panels, multifusors, and broad band absorbers (96kg/m3 fibre glass), in situ.

100mm thick with 100mm air gap.

Time for some experimentation, and measurement.

Hopefully, the existing panels, and shell construction will negate bass traps.

We shall see

Windows have turned out well with view across to the sea, when looking left from the listening seat. View of the trees when looking ahead.

How do they effect the sound overall compared to the blank wall?

Yes, they are the DC2. I used 8 on the front. The effect is not that profound to my ears. I would find it difficult to describe. They are visually arresting, and really give that "wow" factor. I think this may well have psycho acoustic effects.

I can, however, tell you that the effect of the absorbers and BAD panels are profound. Exchanging them for one another makes easily audible differences in all departments- imaging, clarity, bass etc. Once I got the cloud in, the room sounded too dead, and to be honest, a bit weird.

I anticipated a bit of trial and error, so I bought more panels of each type, than I needed

I took out some of tha absorbers and replaced them with BAD. Incredible results. The sense of space and ambience returned, whilst maintaining the previous attributes. I now have a good mix of treatments, imo

I have just applied my DG58 Eq, to put the "icing on the cake".
