Last night it was back to the 80's as I watched "Lethal Weapon" on bluray. I loved the 80's, mainly because I was in my 20's but it was good to see this again.....but not so good to lament the absolute knob that Mel Gibson has become. Respect him as an actor/director though.

 

Last night I watched "Lethal Weapon 2" on bluray. Good fun action, up there with the first. Some great gags, particularly the 'rubber plant'.😅

 

Last night I watched "Contagion" on bluray. A fine movie, made all the more relevant in light of the Covid outbreak. Enjoyed it a lot.

The toilet scene is a classic!

I Watched this at the cinemas and enjoyed it. A lot was not covered but still entertaining. I will buy this when it comes out on bluray.

More 'back to the 80's' fun last night with "Beverly Hills Cop" on bluray. One of the best action comedies from that era.....enjoyed it yet again.

Last night I watched "Beverly Hills Cop II" on bluray. Obviously not as good as the first but still quite funny in parts.

Rather under the radar and seems to be pushed as some manner of espionage tale . In fact, it is an incredibly sombre and non- sensational recounting of the C.I.A s program to use psychedelic drug as a method of mind control. Exploiting societies most vulnerable as test subjects .

The psychiatrist at the centre of it , frustrated by a low cure rate and low budget, agrees to accept funding- with strings attached. Will leave most viewers with a deep sense of unease.

Previous night (Tuesday) I watched "Beverly Hills Cop III" on bluray. I couldn't remember if I had seen this before and concluded that I hadn't but also thought if I had, I may have forgotten it.....this may well be the worst movie I have ever seen, just a complete shocker.

Last night I watched "LA Confidential" on bluray. It's the first time I've seen this and it didn't disappoint. A great movie.👍

Last night I watched "Wall Street" on bluray. First time since not too long after it's release in '87.....and it's annoying to realise the world not only hasn't changed in that these capitalist scum still run the world.....but that in fact it's actually way worse than it was back then. What did Gordon ask? "Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you?" No I'm not.

last night i streamed this. i enjoyed it. but you need to like fight n action scenes, off set by his geeky family man awkwardness. bit over the top at times and hit n miss, but would watch again

After seeing Attack on The Iron Coast show up on TV today I went and rewatched Jeremy Clarksons The Greatest Raid of all Time. about the raid on St. Nazaire. Those young men were incredibly brave!

Attack on the Iron Coast is an OK B movie at best and Clarkson can be polarizing but his three WW2 documentaries are very good.

Last night I watched "Lethal Weapon 3" on bluray. Far fetched fun again, not quite as good as the first two but enjoyable.

Last night I completed the series and watched "Lethal Weapon 4" on bluray. I enjoyed it more than the third one. Apparently a fifth was being conceived way back in 2007 but I think it's way too late now. Maybe "Lethal Weapon 5: I'm Too Old For This **** But Old Enough To **** Myself"😆

Last night I watched "Lucy" on bluray. Seen it before but just felt like watching it again. Love this movie.

Too right, a stella movie- now if they could only do a great remaster in 4K & revisit the audio (starting to sound a little dated)

I'm a bit of a Luc Besson tragic myself. He just seems to be able to OTT any scene or story and make it almost believable. If only he and Polanski could keep their hands to themselves!!!

Last night I watched "Shutter Island" on bluray. I really enjoyed this even if the 'twist', while interesting, wasn't 100% convincing. Beautifully filmed though.

Last night I watched "The Heat" on bluray. Very funny movie, McCarthy great as usual, Bullock good too.
