I was going to have a few beers tonight....................but it's too bloody cold!

Why would anyone spray beer under their arms?

  • When I'm on the road in our caravan, I buy my beer in cans if I can (some beers I like don't come in cans).  But I don't drink them out of cans, I "decant" them into a glass.  Beer out of a can is NOT

Interesting, aren't kegs made from aluminium?

From aluminium up through stainless steel pipes and poured into glass.

Right or wrong????

Kegs are mostly stainless, no?

Haha - is there a doctor on standby? Mrs A thought it particularly whimpy of me not to try it. Think i'll stick to the other stuff in the cellar - even if it tastes like rotten grape juice.

[in retrospect yes I should have had a sip. It's not every day you can taste 15 year old beer. Maybe beer keeps longer than everyone thinks. Are there aged or vintage beers?]

Yes there are. Generally, the higher the alcohol content, the longer they'll keep. Also whether they're bottle conditioned (naturally carbonated by adding sugar to unfiltered beer in the bottle causing the yeast still in the beer to create co2) or carbonated by artificially adding co2.

Bottle conditioned beer lasts longer.

Coopers Vintage ale is 7.5% ABV and bottle conditioned, so will keep for a number of years and develop different flavours as it ages.

Will Coopers Vintage become stronger with age? Alcohol wise.

I don't know.

They don't last very long around here.

Nor will you, look at my new signature! :P

Bah!

djb, I can understand...................but I am completely innocent of everything!

Mrs A was correct. Fosters is underrated. Yep.

I see Fat Yak on tap, and people bag Fosters...?

I am completely innocent of everything!

We're just waiting for the fingerprinting results to be returned from the lab regarding that incident on the weekend.

Don't leave town....
