Crinear Daybreak upgrade?

Featured Replies

Now i know, IEM'S boo hoo, but for someone who has issues with headphones not fitting over my ears, too good of seal/not sealing and my glasses being pressed into my skull, I have taken the path of the IEM.

I got myself a set of crinical's Current model which is the daybreak, and honestly, its not bad. Its quite neutral and what i would consider fairly balanced but my God, the soundstage is horrendously small and the imaging could really use an upgrade, other then that I like it. Only problem is that thoes 2 things for me sometimes make it unbearable.

Does anyone know of an upgrade?

Needs to be accurate, a flat FR curve, fast and responsive, clean, resolving and needs to have a good soundstage and imaging. (Im not very picky but the Truthear zero reds had way better soundstage, poor imaging though.)

Think of the LCD-XC but for IEM's and i refuse to waste money on overpriced sennheiser products that have flaws that make it a pain to use or repair over time, IE the damn cables going bad and being unable to replace it.

Or even just the daybreaks but with better imaging and soundstage, yes they aren't perfect but they are the best balance of everything apart from thoes 2 things.

Cost can be whatever but try to keep it reasonable, not everyone has 1-10k to throw at an IEM,

I would also prefer a planar but in IEM's they are somewhat crap. I'll probably also prefer a multi driver setup aswell as it lends itself to a better frequency curve and cleans up all of the single driver distortion from the bass to the mids and helps prevent the highs (6k-14k) from lowering the volume of other frequencies or screeching as the driver fails to accurately reproduce the high's mixed with the mids. they also need to be a balanced set, 4.4mm or XLR 4 pin. In my setup Balanced has the benefit of being more snappy and clearer then 3.5mm, thats basically all the difference is, balanced is just faster, though it makes it sound way better.

Thanks.
