13 double yolks from a pack of 24!

I wonder what causes that?

I have my own chickens and I never get double yolkers.

Even the really big eggs over 80gms are single yolk.

Never seen that many in a pack, wow...They are all twins. maybe?

They were marked as organic and when I opened the pack I noticed the different sizes and saw it was sold as a total weight rather than individual weights.

The big ones were like hand grenades!

A friend thought it may indicate lower stress levels in the chickens.

Anyway I was amazed when they just kept coming.

Probably two headed chooks... LOL

Very interesting 👌

I Googled it.

In young birds or older birds that start laying again their egg production hasn't quite synced up and sometimes two will become one.

I googled it too, but the answer wasn't as funny as my previous reply (and way too much to type it all)
