I adore these headphones - so much so that I sold my HD800s to get them, but having turned my home office into a baby's room there's just no place to quietly enjoy open-back headphones at home anymore. They sound terrific via modest sources like iPhone dongles and laptop headphone outputs (hence the "downgrade" from the HD800s), but will absolutely sing with a great DAC + amp.
